"Ha.. what a movie! You guys should have come with me.." Shah Rukh exclaimed.

"Maybe,  but I don't think bunking class on the very first day is such a good idea." Imraan told.

"C'mon guys. Stop being cowards. " shahrukh told as he took his comb from his pocket and started combing his long hair. Khader, his father was a die-hard fan of Shah Rukh Khan and so he named his son after him - Shah Rukh Khader (SRK, as he calls himself ) . If my supposition is right, he was named before he was born. He had protruding teeth and coal-like complexion but he considered him as the Xerox of the real shah rukh khan. Last year he proposed one of our classmates, and it was rumoured that the girl had a psychic trauma, and didnt come to school for about a week.

My school life was going smoothly, except for the late-comer's scoldings every morning. Meanwhile, Shruti started mingling with our classmates and even made friends with a few of them. She had turned talkative. Though I started noticing her for her quiet indrawn nature, still I never fail to notice her. :-)

The thing that I like about love is that, it just happens; you shouldn't research on the reasons. I can't say when I began to love her. It is when you fall in love that you lose track of time.

I was eagerly waiting for the right moment to talk to her, but the right moment never came. Weeks passed by, and still there was no sign of progress in my stupid love story. The most annoying thing was that, she was now friends with Rahul and Imraan, and what about me? I was not sure whether she even knew such a boy studied in her class, let alone being friends with me.

Many things changed in my life after she came into my it. I started reaching the school half an hour early to the bell. I never bunked a single class. I even began answering certain questions which teachers ask the class. I was ready to do anything to get her attention.

It was a chemistry period, and I was sitting in the last bench with my three heavily snoring friends. The teaching teacher was making some important announcement, but for me it was just the blah blah, for my full concentration was on Shruti. Suddenly, she turned around and looked at me. I was shocked. Our eye-contact lasted for around two seconds, then I looked at my book and pretended to read seriously. Why did she look at me? Did she see me stating at her? I have heard that girls have eyes all around them .

It was another Monday. The story begins on a Monday, I saw her for the first time on a Monday. Why are Mondays so important in a boy's life? Okay, now let's come back. It was a Monday and hence a working day. I was standing on the verandah of our classroom block which was on the second floor of the school building. The rain-soaked wind was blowing on my face. I was lost in her thoughts. It was then I heard a shrill voice from behind.

"Hello.. "

I turned back to see who it was and I was in a state of euphoria on seeing her looking at my eyes. The angel of my dreams was standing right in front of me. Her eyes had a lustre which was enough to blind a million 1000W bulbs. I kept staring at her forgetting everything around me, except the Hello that echoed in my inner ear. Seeing me standing dumbfounded she spoke again.

"Hello.. You must be Alex. "

"Yes. I am. " I spoke as if I was enchanted by her spell.

"So.. You know... Now we are partners. My name is Shruti and you can call me Shruti. "she smiled.

Having said these much she walked away. I was at the verge of a cardiac arrest. I even  pinched myself to check whether I was daydreaming (reality checks) :P. No, I wasn't. She knows that I love her?? How could this happen? Would Rahul or Imraan have told it to her? They won't do that. No way. Then how did she know?

I was slowly regaining consciousness.
