It was valentines day, and you were supposed to be going to a movie with your friends, but they all skipped out on your to be with their boyfriends. You were watching a movie on the couch, when your doorbell, so you hurried over to get it. Once it opened, you saw your bestfriend, Mikey, standing behind it. "Hey, were going out at 6." He said, before turning around and running back to his house across the street. You laughed, before turning around, and walking up to your room. Just as your were checking your phone for the time, Mikey texted you telling you to wear something casual. You picked out a pair of jeans, and a pink hoodie, since it was February, and you had no idea what he had planned. After doing your hair and makeup, you heard your doorbell ring again at exactly 6. "Beautiful as always. Come on, let's Go." He said, leading you to the car before you each got in and he drove away. Minutes later, he pulled into the parking lot usually used for the lake inside the park. "Mikey, what are we doing?" You asked, knowing it was too cold for the water. "You'll see." He said, as he lead your off in a direction you two always went years ago. You finally got there, and found the tree house that you two helped your dads build when you were only 7. You walked up the ladder, and saw candles lighting the inside, surrounding a bag of McDonalds.
"Awh, Mike." You smiled, as you sat in the makeshift beanbag chair you two left up here years ago. "Before we dig into this fancy dinner," he laughed, "I have to tell you something. Close your eyes." He finished. You obeyed, and heard him moving around before you felt something cold around your neck. "Okay, open them." He said, sitting back on the floor, letting you finally look at what was on the necklace. You smiled when you saw that it had both of your initials carved into it, and the date you met. "Now flip it over." Mikey smiled, letting your quickly obey, finding today's date printed against the back. You looked up at him curiously, "we've known each other since I can remember, and I have loved you ever since then. I can't wait any longer, will you please be my girlfriend?" He asked, hope Filling his eyes. "I would love to," you smiled, engulfing him into a hug.
