chapter 2 howling

After school April and I meet up at the library to recurs a English essay we

have about the Holiday Halloween.

"Have you found anything yet,April?"i ask as my hands fly over the old key

board of the library computer. I don't understand how a library can have all the

information you would ever need on just about everything and yet not be able to

keep their computers up-to-date.

" yea i thank so ...hey look i found a book that says something about how

Halloween was created. Come look" i walk over to her and read the page over her shoulder

" that looks good ok add it to the other two and i thank we've got enough to do this essay" I say. April agrees with me and gets up, we gather the books we found and checked them out then headed to Aprils to drop them off before we go to my Nana's to rake leaves." So you don't mind helping me rake leaves for Nana do you?"

" Na of course not i love your grandma, plus i would like to look around the woods once were done if you don't mine. Mrs.wood hinted that we will be doing a project Earth science soon and we'll need to go hunting for some stuff. I want to get an early lead on it" April says bending down to inspect a rock then preceding to kick it.

" Okay ill help you, although i don't under stand why you took earth science instead of chemistry. " i say as we walk up the steps of my Nana's " Nana! we're here!, i mean you still have to talk it senior year and if you would have took it dis year you could have moved on to higher sciences"

" Well unlike you I'm not becoming a vet so i don't need a lot of sciences...I'm going to be a wrighter." April says in a matter of fact tone.

Nana comes around the corner from the kitchen wearing a apron and oven mitts. that's when i smell the sweet smell of Chocolate chip cookies, my favorite.

" Hello Aurora, i see you have borough a April with you, what a pleasant surprise April dear good to see you again" she says giving me and April a hug before taking off her oven mitts and setting down on the couch.

" its good to see you too Ms.May I'm here to help A with the leaves" April says oh by-the-way A is my nickname.

" oh how sweet well ladies there are some cookies and mike in the kitchen help your self to some before you start working" Nana says as she turns on the TV. April and i eat a couple cookies and drink a glass of milk before we head outside and began to rake. The racking doesn't talk long. after we finish we tell Nana we are going to look for somethings in the woods and as a reply she warns up about the wolfs. I knew that was coming i've never understood why my grandma was so scarred of these wolfs. To be honest if i ever got to see a wolf it would make my day, i love them not that I would ever tell Nana that i made that mistake when i was 10 . lets just say she yelled at my for 30 minuets about how dangerous they are and told me about the blue moon wolfs. Little did she know it only made me love them more.

once in the woods April began to look under every tree stump every leaf and every rock mumbling about how she couldn't find what she was looking for. I tried to help her find all the items she has written down but i want much help.

" Ugh! Were never gonna find anything here come on lets go father down the hill maybe there will be something there" she said jumping off a rock and beginning her doesn't down the steep hill.

" uh..April I'm not sure now sturdy this bank is maybe we should just wait i mean you don't even know if your gonna have this project for sure." i say. every part of my being telling me not to go down the steep incline.

" okay i guess your right besides its starting to get late and i should be getting home ." April says She desired to walk home seeing how she only lived a mile away and we pretty much walked everywhere anyways.

Not much happened the next few weeks just the same old, same old, get up, go to school, go to April house and work on report fight with mom about birthday decorations, hang out with Nicole and and others, go home feed my dogs , try to sleep and wake up from the same damned nightmare every night. The only thing that seamed to change is whenever everyone had gone to bed and everything was quiet i could here wolfs howl. I had never EVER hurt wolfs howl here before, and i wasn't the only one who could here them. I was the walk all over school ,even the Jocks and preps , the people i hated the most, were talking about it at lunch one Friday.

" O.M.G did u here those dogs i swearer people need to learn to shut up their stupid animals" said Ciara Brown the head of the cheerleadeing team and the girl who thanks she owns the school.

" I know babe. Hey i bet it was I bet it was miss northern lights over there dogs." Said Ciara's boyfriend Sean Acres. The little comment about my name got a huge laugh from there table and them Sean , Ciara and Britney felt the need to come over to our table, and ask me in person. " hey Northern lights how bout you tell your damn dogs to shut up tonight"

" Sean...my dogs do not howl.. and to be honest I'm surprised that you even know what the Aurora borealis is." i say trying to sound smug: besides the howl were from wolfs"

" Shut up , and like you would know if it was a wolf....on wait did you crazy Grandma tell you " Sean says wile laughing, then before i could say anything Ciara stills my roll and they all walk off . I turn around to face my food,however; I'm no longer hungry because my blood is bolling.

" don't lessen to 'em A. they just say that stuff to get under ya skin" Says one of my new friends Jazz. we just met about a month ago and Nicole says we would make am Amazing couple but i don't see it.

" I know i just wish someone would but those asses in there place." i say standing up and walking over to empty my half eaten tray. Jazz follows me and empties " hey are you coming to my party Sunday ?"

" Of 'corse imma be a vampire, watch out! i may just bite ya" Jazz says baring his teeth and acing like hes gonna bite me i laugh and we both put our trays up

" ill make sure to stay away ha ha. "

" what you gonna be?" He asks as we set back down with the others

" Na uh I'm gonna tell you'll have to wait and see" i say shaking my finger

" hahaha cant wait"
