*Past*

He felt the rush in his brain. The over powering and wonderful feeling of his high coming quickly. Dazai rubbed his nose, and he put the rest of his cocaine to the side, and got rid of his little cutting board and straw. Dazai wanted to get rid of the evidence before his red head lover returned home. He knew how disappointed Chuuya would be if he realized he was snorting cocaine, but he couldn't bring himself to stop. Especially not when it was this good. Dazai jumped up as soon as he heard the door unlock, and he walked out into the living room area to greet Chuuya. Chuuya closed the door behind him, and he locked it. Before he could kick his shoes off he felt Dazai pushing him up against the door, and biting roughly into his neck. Chuuya being caught off guard yelped when he was pushed into the door, and he yelped again when Dazai was biting his neck hard.

"D-Da-Dazai...Ngh... S-stop..."

Chuuya tried to shove Dazai away but he was relentless. Dazai moved up and kissed Chuuya on the lips, sucking every inch of air he could out of Chuuya, and bit his bottom lip. Dazai pushed his hands up Chuuya's shirt, and Chuuya groaned loudly and moved his head away from Dazai's mouth; shoving him away.

"Osamu!" Chuuya yelled. Only then did Dazai pull away from him.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Chuuya asked angrily.

He looked at an undone Chuuya in front of him and he stepped far away from Chuuya.

"I-I'm sorry." Dazai ran outside of their shared apartment, and down the hall. Dazai couldn't believe what he just did. And Chuuya now by himself sighed out in relief that it didn't go any further.

"He's still using cocaine to cope..." Chuuya said looking down sadly.

*Present*

Dazai chirped happily as he opened up his bento that Chuuya prepared for him this morning. Atsushi beamed up at Dazai's bento.

"Dazai-san, did you make that bento?"

Dazai looked at Atsushi and chuckled. "No Atsushi-kun. Chuuya made it for me."

"Wow! Chuuya-san has amazing cooking skills then. I never knew he could cook like that."

Dazai chuckled. "Maybe one day I can get him to make a dish for our usual company parties."

Atsushi shook his head happily. "I think everyone would like that. Especially me." Atsushi laughed.

Dazai chuckled and then dug into his bento.

Kunikida came inside of the office and he cleared his throat. "Alright everyone. It's that time of the year where we drug test everyone."

"Is it really that time already?" Dazai asked.

"It is. Why? Are you nervous Dazai?"

Dazai smiled. "Of course not."

*Past*

Dazai stepped into the office, knocking everything down on his way in. He stumbled to his desk, and plopped down into his chair. His hair was a mess, he was sweating buckets, his eyes were bloodshot, and attire was messy. Kunikida went over to Dazai and he looked him up and down questioningly. It was clear what was going on.

"Dazai-san."

Dazai looked up laughing. "Oi! Oi! Hi Ku-ni-ki-da-kun!" Dazai yelled loudly and happily.

"You look terrible Dazai. What's going on?"

Dazai chuckled. "Nothing. I am fine."

"No, you are not. You're clearly high. What the hell is wrong with you? You can't come to work like this."

Dazai's demeanor turned dark very quickly. "Maybe you should mind your own business."

"Does Chuuya know?"

"Fuck you. No, he doesn't and you won't tell him."

"Why shouldn't I?! You're ruining yourself Dazai! All of that kills you slowly! How do you think Chuuya would feel?! He wouldn't want that around Arsené."

"Shut up! What would you know?!"

"I'd know he wouldn't want the man he loves slowly killing himself."

Dazai looked down sadly, his bangs covering his eyes.

"You know nothing..."

"Look... I haven't known you long. But... Whatever is going on in your life Dazai. You don't have to use drugs to cope. You have someone at home who loves you more than anything in this world. You should talk with him. If you won't tell me... at least tell someone. He trusted you when you ran from the mafia. Trust him."

Kunikida walked out closing the door behind him, and he left Dazai behind with his thoughts.

Ω

Dazai stumbled inside his household, and he closed the door behind him. Dazai had thought long and hard about what Kunikida had said, and he was right. When did everything with his drug problem get so out of control? When did it become the only thing that helped him cope? He couldn't remember. Dazai kicked off his shoes, and made his way to his son's room, and he peeked in. He watched as Chuuya laid their son in his crib. Around this time Chuuya is just finishing up Arsené's bed time story. And Dazai's grateful he finishes so early because they needed to talk. He walked over to Chuuya and wrapped his arms around him. Chuuya gasped in shock until he turned around seeing it was Dazai.

"Osamu... I didn't hear you come in." He said softly as he stood on his tippy toes and pecked Dazai on the lips. Chuuya noticed the sorrow quickly in Dazai's eyes, and Chuuya got instantly worried.

"Osamu... what's wrong...?"

"I'm such a shitty person..."

Chuuya looked at Dazai in shock. "Why? Why would you say that Dazai?" Chuuya looked at his husband upset.

"Because..."

"Because why...?"

Dazai started sobbing, he couldn't hold his tears back anymore. He couldn't pretend everything was fine. Chuuya pulled Dazai into his arms and he held him as close and as comforting as possible.

"I know..."

"W-What...?"

"I know... About the cocaine..."

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." Dazai sobbed into Chuuya's chest.

"I know... I know you are... Please don't ever say you're a bad person... Because you're not. You're an amazing husband to me. And a wonderful father to Arsené, and your coworkers love you even when you can be unbearable at times. When Odasaku was alive you were an amazing friend to him. And you go out of your way to help and protect others... so please... don't... don't say that..."

"But it's true... I don't even remember when it got so bad... When I fell so deep..."

Chuuya shook his head and he lifted Dazai's head off his chest, wiping his tears. "You're amazing Osamu... you have to believe in yourself more... We will get you help. You can overcome this. And I will help you every step of the way. It's my turn to save you. Trust me."

Chuuya smiled, and he kissed the top of Dazai's head
