Prologue
“Canter” Loxie kicked her pony on, as they went round a sand ring out in the open. Rich came and leant against the fencing.
“You’re too big for her and she’s too small to compete at Badminton, I’ve been thinking for a while about selling her.” Rich said, as Loxie came over.
“But what will I ride at the Badminton finals Rich, if I can’t ride blaze?” Loxie looked at her instructor, clearly shocked. “We only have two months left who’s to say that we will find one straight away.”
“We will find one soon and you underestimate your ability.” Rich explained.
“Well don’t forget we need the money from coming first at badminton, but who’s to say I will win that or the finals, oh Rich there’s too much pressure.” Loxie looked torn.
“Trust me you will get through.” Rich reassured her. He then turned and walked back across to the pine stables.
Loxie sighed and then continued her fitness routine on blaze.
The next day Loxie came back from school, to find Rich sitting at the table with equestrian magazines scattered everywhere.
“Rich what are you doing? You’ve turned this place into a tip!” Loxie asked.
“I’m looking for a horse, 15.2 I think don’t you?” Rich quickly glanced at her.
“Isn’t a 15.2 a bit big for me?” Loxie questioned.
“No, we just need to find one that has a brilliant ability. A 16.2 would be perfect but it is too big and all of them in these magazines are out of the price range, maybe in a year or two, this one is not too pricey and looks good, I’ve already phoned up, tomorrow we are going to see Tom, in Kent.
