Crista's P.O.V
As I walked down DeVries High school hallway to the office I felt the other students eyes lingering on me. Though I felt them I didn't look into them. I wasn't an attention seeker like some people. I didn't mind being in the background or not being noticed. Even if the spot light would come my way I would probably just shy away from it in the end. You would think that now I'm a senior I would have some guts but sadly no.
I walked into the office to find the secretary behind a small desk. She looked to be in her mid-thirties, with her brown hair in a tight bun and brown eyes to match. I looked at the name plate that read Susan Dolt. I stood there for a minute before she finally noticed me.
"What can I do for you, dear?" She smiled up at me. Well, at least I didn't have to worry about the evil secretary in all those books I read.
"Uh, yeah. I need my schedule and locker number. I'm kind of new here." I mumbled. Man, I really need to speak up more. But she was able to hear me.
"Name." she said as she pulled up something on her computer.
"Crista Davao." I said.
"Ah, yes here we are. Here you go and have a nice day Mrs.Davao." She handed me a peice of paper from the printer behind her. I thanked her and made my to my first class, advanced horticulture. I wasn't sure of how many people were in the class but I was hoping that there weren't much.
I looked into the sun as I exited the main office building and towards the green house on the school campus. The air was a bit foggy but you could still see the sun shining through. I guess that's what I would expect from Colorado. The tempurature wasn't that bad either, considering I was used to the hot arizona sun. The coolness of the mountains was especially a nice change. I always used to love when it actually snowed in Arizona, which was not a lot.
I entered the small glass building and looked around. There were stools along the walls as well as tables attached to the walls. I let out a sigh of relieve when I saw nobody else in there. Nice I thought. Either I was really early or I was the only one in this class. I liked the second option a lot better. I walked over to a seat in the farthest corner of the green house. I was about to open my book to read when I heard a voice behind me.
"Hello." I heard a Little girl say behind me. I turned around to find one of the cutest little girls I had ever seen. She stared up at me with these huge green eyes. Her hair was a light brown that reached to her back. She was wearing a small polka dot dress. Wow, she looked like one of those life size porcelain dolls. I felt my mouth turn itself to a smile.
"Hi Cutie." I heard myself say. Wait, did I just say cutie? Apparently she didn't mind cause she just smiled. "uh...did you want something?" I asked not really knowing what else to say. She nodded her head and took my hand. I looked down at it as she started to pull me towards her. I nearly fell off of my stool when she did. Man, she was strong for a little girl.
"Vallery!" Someone shouted from the doorway. I looked up to find a boy around my age leaning against the doorway. He had dark brown hair, which was a mess of curls, his skin the color of chocolate and hazel brown eyes. "Vallery." He said as he shook his head a bit. I looked back down at the little girl as she went from pulling me to hiding behind my back. A defiant look seemed to be there in her eyes as well.
The guy just chuckled and walked towards us. As he closed the space beween us I took a closer look. He was wearing a blue T, a pair of jeans and some sneakers. I didn't really check out guys but this guy was so check out worthy. When he met my gaze I felt myself blush. Busted.
