HEART TO HEART [PJM]

Prologue

"You know I love you, right?" it's almost a whisper above your head. Your heart jumps- not necessarily because you're startled but because these words are never said so easily.

"Of course. I love you too," you reply with a small smile.

Somehow, even after all these years, he still knew how to make you blush at any time. Seeing your pink tinged cheeks, the boy smiles to himself, smug that he was the one that had made you like that. He grabs your hand and interlaces your fingers together, looking down at you leaning on his shoulder.

"Good," he simply states. And that's all he says for a while.

You continue to watch the movie playing in front of you two, commenting occasionally on the scenes.

After a while, you drift off and fall asleep leaning against Jimin. When he takes you to bed, you're half awake and know that he did it, burying your face into his shoulder. As he leaves to finish the movie, you grab his hand and hold fast, pulling him down next to you.

You sleep next to each other until the next morning. Little did you know that the next day would change everything.

You wake up the next morning and don't feel the telltale warmth of Jimin laying next to you in the bed. You wake up more, wondering where he'd go, and sit up in bed. Throwing the covers off, you walk across the hardwood floor of your bedroom, quietly, as if you were sneaking around. You come to the living room and see that his jacket is gone. He's left everything else in its place, but he's not there. Now, you're scared and have a feeling of needing to find him. You grab your phone off the bedside table and call him. No answer. Pacing around the room, you text him and call him multiple times. In your panic, you don't think to call any of his friends, or your friends to see if they had seen him.

You realize something a few hours later and stop pacing abruptly. Jimin wouldn't yell at you, he always left for a while to clear his head. He's always so patient, but this might have been the longest he could wait. Yes, being together for five years should hint at something, you should be ready, but you were afraid of that commitment. You'd been hurt beyond repair before, and he understood that. But last night, as you were watching the movie, he asked you again, and you stood your ground. He played it off as if it didn't bother him, but apparently, it really did. Yes, you loved him to death and way more than "to the moon and back" and you knew that he felt the same way. If he didn't he wouldn't be asking you to marry him, or if you were ready. But you were still scared to take that chance. You crumple to the floor for a few seconds, your head between your hands. He must be fed up, or just disappointed thinking that you didn't love him enough to marry him. You decide to go out and look for him.

You run back to your room, grab your keys, rush back out and run downstairs. You close your eyes and sigh when you realize you left your jacket back upstairs. You decide to just leave it, sure that you'd be fine outside. Walking out the door and making sure to lock it, you can't help but hope that everything will be fine soon.

So guys (who are still following me)! I decided to restart this fanfic. I was originally going to delete my wattpad and post it all on tumblr, but I decided against it and did the opposite because I find it easier here. I will be posting a hopefully improved version of this story and maybe I'll create my one-shot book soon too! If I end up restarting my tumblr, I'll be sure to let you guys know because there might be some goodies there! I know the chapters are pretty short, but I didn't want to post it as a full either.
