"I won dammit. So what the hell is the problem?"

Bakugo had won his fight against Uraraka. Ms. Midnight had stepped in and declared him victorious. But he was still bothered.

"She wouldn't stop. Her body gave out but she just kept trying."

His plan was to win at any cost. He was ready to hit her with lethal explosions. But in those last few moments, he started to feel...

"Bakugo?!"

He had just stepped into the waiting room. Uraraka was sitting at a table.

"What the hell are you doing here Ochako?"

Uraraka was shocked. "Y-You burned my jacket," she stammered. "And me." She rubbed her bandaged cheek.

"It's your own damn fault for trying to fight me," Bakugo growled. "Next time just jump out of bounds." He turned to leave the room.

"You don't get it."

Bakugo turned back to Uraraka. She wouldn't look up at him, but her confidence was rising.

"You really don't. You only care about being the greatest, and you're ready to stomp out anyone in your way!" She was yelling at this point. "You don't even care about what could happen or who's life you could ruin!"

Bakugo glared at her. "Unbelievable."

Uraraka looked up at him.

"You should have known I wasn't going to take it easy. I'm here to win. I will surpass All Might and nobody will stand in my way, especially not some little girl that makes things float."

Uraraka started to cry. "Bakugo, you-"

"But."

Bakugo slowly walked toward her.

"Your plan would have worked, had I not been expecting you and Deku to come up with something. And you wouldn't stop attacking, even though the odds were stacked against you. I was on the defensive the entire time."

At this point he was within inches of her. She wouldn't meet his gaze, but he lifted her head up. She expected his normal intense stare. Instead he looked into her eyes. Rather than the explosive anger that he was known for, there was a warmth to him. He put his forehead on hers.

"If anyone tries to stop you from becoming a hero, I'll crush them. Anyone who puts you through pain, I'll burn them to the ground. Tell me who and they'll never touch you again." He turned and started walking away.

"Kacchan?"

"Huh?" He turned around as Uraraka wrapped her arms around him. She buried her face into his chest and sobbed.

"Thank you Kacchan. Thank you!"

Bakugo put one arm around her. He thought for a moment, then kissed the top of her head.

"Just don't do it around people. Tell me privately."

Uraraka laughed through her tears. They let go.

"Let's go see Deku's fight!" Uraraka said excitedly.

Bakugo's hand sparked. "Todoroki better crush him!" He growled.
