Red. The color red. It held his gaze as he leaped from roof to roof, claws and boots landing lightly, the leather tail flapping softly behind as he ran. Red. It surrounds him, every direction he looked something reminded him of his Lady. Ladybug held the thoughts of the roaming hero, Chat Noir knew he was in love. He wasn't the flirt everyone called him. He wouldn't admit it but the accusations cut deep into him. "Why...why won't she believe me?" His voice quivered softly, his heart pounding from his journey, but it skipped half a beat whenever he spotted the color red. The light layer of snow coating everything, the Akuma attack today had ran his timer low but he pushed on, ignoring the beeps from his miraculous. The ring, the source of his powers. With a frustrated hiss Chat pushed his gloved hand through his blonde strands, the loose hair sticking to his forehead with sweat. The Akuma today...his name was "the objector" his power was the most devastating he had seen. The power to create doubt, to make people question everything and everyone. It brought around so much despair that they had to rush. But never the less they were caught by the effects. He had almost given up. He almost gave away his ring. He felt unworthy because of the Akuma. Only because of Ladybug's strong will were they capable of succeeding in defeating their opponent. Chat raced around Paris, his heart racing just as fast as his mind as he simply followed the path his instincts told him to. It wasn't long before the small bakery came into view, the small balcony lit from the little window as he dropped down on the roof. "P-purrincess?" His teeth clattered softly when he spoke and the cold air around him finally registered in his mind, his body shivering constantly as it fought off the cold. With a smile his fabled princess opened the hatch into the house. "Chat? Shouldn't you be home? What are you doing out so late in this cold? Come on kitty, you're shivering. Let's get you warmed back up." She climbed back down quickly followed by Chat. As Chat dropped down into the room Marinette quickly tossed a blanket over his head, the warm fabric acted like a sauna compared to the outside weather and in seconds it was off. The ring flashed again, beeping loudly. 10 minutes were all he had but those ten minutes were a lifetime. Chat was seeing Marinette in a new light. This wasn't the girl he sees at school. This girl before him was strong, brave, crafty and creative. This was a girl he hoped would never be akumatized for both his sake and Ladybugs. "Chat? Chat you okay?" Marinette's voice cut into his thoughts sharply, the words strained and cautious. "y-yeah sorry, since the Akuma attack before I've been a little in and out. Ladybug can repair a broken building but not a doubtful mind..." His voice cuts out on its own, his thoughts sinking back into the doubt caused by the Akuma. With another beep his timer counted down. 5 minutes left. Chat mentally chided himself, this rate he will be walking home as Adrien. With a sigh he got up and smiled softly to Marinette. "Time to go Purrincess, my cat nap awaits with a long night of thinking." Chat climbed up from the window and took off an all fours, eager to cover as much ground as possible before his transformation ends. Marinette simply sat in her room watching him leave, her body pushed against the wall as she sighed. "Silly Kitty....always pushing your limits." She shook her head and chuckled to herself. Tikki peeking out sighing softly as she relaxed, her posture growing easy and lax. "Marinette, should we check in on him?" Marinette looked out to the sky with a sigh. "I don't know, he's strong when he has the mask but what if he takes it off and becomes weak like me? He could be in a bad spot but I honestly don't know." Adrien looked up at the wall of his mansion, scaling the wall with the instincts gained from being the black cat hero. He dropped into his bed and sneezed, Plagg floating from Adrien's vest to the cheese on the desk set aside as always. "K-kid you so owe me for that. I'm half frozen all because you wanted to talk to your Lady." Adrien turned to look at Plagg. "She's not my Lady, she's my Purrincess" Plagg snickered to himself softly. "Whatever you say kid." Adrien collapsed onto his bed with a sigh, his eyes half closed with exhaustion. His mind was running a mile a minute though, his thoughts plagued with doubt. "Plagg?" Plagg lifted his head from the cheese with a sigh. "You're wondering why Ladybug always rejects your affection aren't you?" Adrien nodded softly. "What if she doesn't even like me? What if I'm just her tool? What if she hates me....?" Adrien looked at Plagg, hoping that by some miracle he would know the answer. "Adrien, she doesn't hate you. But I can't speak for her, I know her just as well as you do." Adrien growled softly into the air, sitting up. "that's the problem Plagg, I don't know her. I don't know anything about her."
