I started back towards the stair case when I heard from behind me "Hey wait!!!" As I turned I saw John with a crowbar and dagger trying to catch up, " I want to help!" I shrugged I continued to walk onwards. We hear grumbling coming from behind us. We turned around to see the other members of the part of the party had turned into those things. They began to crawl at us very speedily. "RUN!" yelled John we bolted towards the stair case. I ran to a closet nearby and hid but I could still see in between the gaps. John ran towards a large clear plastic tube. He had reached the handle and opened the door when, he was grabbed by one of the creatures on the shoulder and pulled back. I watched as the monsters ripped his guts out while he was still alive and squirming, "U-Uses t-the f-f-flare gun..." he said as the life drained from his eyes. I opened the door slowly I pulled out the flare gun slowly and quietly I aimed it at John's corpse and pulled the trigger. I watched as a red light come out the end of the gun and land on John's lifeless body, it lit immediately. All the creature in the area of 5ft around John had their skin melted off by the intense heat of the flare. I walked out the room, not looking back once, the door closed slowly behind me.
