I entered the flower shop and sighed at the familiar sound of the bell ringing above me. I loved this place. The smell of nicely put together bouquets and earth made me feel at home. I walked past a table with pots in different shapes and sizes, letting my hand gently run over the rough surface as I walked by. I usually came here to just calm down and relax for a while. Not having to listen to loud cars and stressed people running around. This time I actually had something in mind though. I wanted to buy some tulips and something nice to put them in to keep on my balcony. I was about to go and see if Veronica worked here today, a polish girl that started to recognize me after I came so often but Instead I spotted a guy standing behind the cash register looking down at his phone.
His curly brown hair covered his eyes and he had a green shirt with the shops logo right under his name tag that said "Daniel" in bold letters. It looked like it was brand new since the green was stronger and cleaner than Veronicas shirt. I had also never seen him here before so I assumed he was new to this job. He finally looked up from his phone and met my eyes. He had slightly faded freckles dabbled across his skin and it really complimented his brown eyes. It was amazing to think that he was surrounded by flowers and yet he was the most beautiful thing in the room.
"Can I help you?"
He said and gave me a smile showing his dimples.
I snapped out of my thoughts and remembered that I was here for a reason.
"Yeah, do you sell tulip seeds this time of the year?"
I said as I was walking over resting my hands on the counter.
"I believe we do, want to go chek?"
I mummeld a "mhm" under my breath as we walked further into the store. He stopped by a shelf full of different kinds of seeds neatly organised in alphabetical order.
"I think they're over here?" Daniel stopped for a while as if reading and continued by saying "Yep that's them. There's a couple different you could choose between here, most of the tulips we have are already planted. Is there anything else I could help you with?" he looked up meeting my eyes.
That's where everything in my brain stopped working. I stopped breathing, I stopped moving. Everything just stopped. I felt like the reason I came here vanished, it was no longer important because he was here and he was looking straight at me. I don't think I've ever seen someone as beautiful as him and that scares me.
I could barely bring myself to speak as my words tangled like earphones straight form a pocket. I need to say something, I'm staring.
"Um, I- I was wondering, could I get your number?"I'll try to update this every now and then//Doot
