Hoping To Be More Than Friends

Part Two

"Hi Rosie, lets go to school together." Tyler said.

Yehey!!! I have a friend. I still can't get over it though. He's my first friend ever.

"Hi Ty, ok. Let's just walk since our school is just nearby."

Wait a minute how'd he find my house??I didn't even told my address, that's strange....

"Rosie! come on let's go, what are thinking anyway?" Tyler said.

"Ugh... I was thinking how did you know my address?" I asked while folding my arms.

"Umm... that's not important let's just go to school." He replied but didn't answered my question.

•••Dismissal Time•••

"Hey Rosie, since your parents aren't here yet let's go to the playground and play hide and seek." Tyler sad with excitement.

"Umm...I'm not sure." I replied.

"Oh come on, please with the cherry on top. Hide and seek is my favorite game to play, so let's play now." Tyler said with a puppy eyes.

"Ok fine but only one round" I agreed.

Then another boy joined us and that makes us three, the other boy was the seeker while me and Tyler we're the ones will be hiding.

Something caught my eye that can really make a good hiding spot, it was little cottage near our playground and it's free to go in so I let my self in.

"Yes, he'll never find me here." I said with a victory laugh. But...........

"Mind if I join you here?"
My victory laugh stopped when Tyler went in and asked me if it's fine.

"Find your own we might get caught" I said with a frown.

"Come on please?" He said

"The cottage is too small will be like sardines inside a can" I explained to him.

"It's fine please just let me be with you?" He said with his puppy eyes again.

"Ok fine, don't you dare complain if it's too crowded here" I said.

•••Few minutes later•••

"I guess he gave up already, we've been waiting here for 10 minutes" Tyler said.

"Wait, its already been 10 minutes???!!! Oh no we have to go our parents might worry if we're not back yet" I said.

"Ok. Let's go back here tomorrow, this cottage will be our hiding place from now own and will hangout here everyday." He said with his sincere eyes.

I like his eyes. It's like a lot of mixed emotions are stuck in one place every time I look at his eyes, that sparkles at me.

"Sure tomorrow at dismissal time" I replied and with a smile.

As we speak, everyday we would go to our secret hideout and would hangout,laugh together, play together and one time we had a singing challenge then the next thing happened when I sang it rained and we were stuck at the cottage for about 1 hour.

I really suck at singing but Tyler, man it was so good, he's voice is like an angel, he really knows how to sing but me nah.... I'm only good at brains.

•••After 1 year•••

Today's my birthday and I'm already turning 9. Tyler just asked me to meet him at the park nearby our secret hideout because he has a present for me and he said that I should bring my parents.

It's been 1 year and still we're still together as best buddies but I'm confused should I be happy that it's been 1 year of our friendship or sad because it's been 1 year and yet we're only up to friends...... wait what on earth am I thinking...... Erase please ~_~

I was wondering what present would he give me this time. Last year he gave a real gold necklace that has a sign infinity,he said that it was a symbol of our friendship which means will be best friends forever.

When I arrived at the park I saw a cut golden retriever and it ran to me.

It was cute, I rubbed its tummy then suddenly someone covered my eyes with both hands.

Then I already figured it out who it might be....

"Tyler!" I said while getting his hands off my eyes.

"Oh man,your too smart ain't fun" he said.

I just laughed.

"Look, a golden retriever ran to me and I think it's lost, I wonder where it's owner might be since there's no one here anymore in the park" I said.

"Rosie that dog already found its owner" he replied with his charming smile.

Then I solved what he just said and it means it's my dog now I'm so happy. I'll just act a little dumber for his surprise.

"Then where is the owner?" I said but I can't help it but to laugh.

"It's yours! Happy Birthday my Rosie" he said

"Thank you so much Ty I really appreciate it" I thanked him and out of the blue I hugged him very tight as if we we're going to be apart.

"Anything for you Rosie" he said and hugged me back.

"Tyler may I have a word with you" my father asked Tyler then he agreed.

I have no clue what there talking about but dad seems happy, maybe because he's my first best friend I guess.

•••The next day•••

I noticed every time I'm with Tyler my heart feels strange now a days after my birthday and every time I'm with time flies quickly.

"Hey Rosie can we keep a promise?" Tyler said seriously.

Now we're at the cottage he said he has something important to tell me.

"Ok, what kind of promise though?" I asked.

"Promise our selves if we get separated we should find each other and return our friendship all over again and ho-"

*beep beep*

Ugh I didn't hear the after "all over and" but still promised.

"Yes...... I Katlyn Rose promise if we get separated I would look for you and catch up our friendship...." That's all I said though then Tyler also promised.

I keep on wondering what was the last part he said, I didn't heard because a car was beeping.

But we kept our promise

I was also thinking why would we make that kind of promise, are we going to be separated?
