An average, kind Jeongyeon crushes on an oblivious, loyal-to-academics Taehyung. Unfortunately, the witty, cunning Jimin and the beautiful, it-girl Jihyo joins the picture.

[28] The comment

When Taehyung passed behind her and caught her creating a PowerPoint presentation, she had caught his attention. He watches silently over her shoulder, his greek sculpture-like face reflecting on the laptop screen, and her fingers paused from typing. She suddenly became conscious of her appearance.

"You're straying from the topic," he comments. "Look at the grading criteria and try that slide again."

Jeongyeon watches him go off to his desk where he opens a laptop, before she deletes the slide he pointed at.

[27] Who are you?

Jeongyeon approaches Taehyung slowly, both hands holding a thin stack of papers. Jihyo's eyes fleeted from the cute boy to the short-haired girl, words continuing to fall out of her red-tinted lips.

"But you know, you should totally go for a grey coat and--"

"Taehyung, your reaction paper, please."

Jihyo turns her head at Jeongyeon, a perfectly sculpted eyebrow raised. "I was still talking to him."

Taehyung pulls out a sliding folder and disassembles it for his paper. "Please note I've passed a softcopy to Miss Yang."

"Noted," Jeongyeon responds, completely ignoring Jihyo.

Taehyung nods with a blank face before turning back to Jihyo.

"So, uh, who are you again? Jihye? A grey coat and what?"

Jihyo smiles in disbelief. Jeongyeon smiles in triumph.

[26] Dear Diary

Taehyung in a headband is illegal.

She aggressively underlines the last word.

Whoever put him up on it should jump off a cliff. Oh my god. I can't focus on writing right now because of it. He's killing me and I think he has no idea that he's showing off his good looks. The other girls are staring at him. Jihyo keeps on approaching him. She should back off. Why the-

"Jeongyeon."

She closes her diary with a slam. "Yes, Jimin?"

[25] No pen

Mortified, Taehyung realised he forgot his pen at the library. If he were to go back there, he would miss a big chunk of Mr Seokjin's math class. He can't have that. Silently admitting his mistake, he turns around with no hesitation.

"Hey, can I borrow a pen? Or any writing material for the matter?"

Jeongyeon took a moment to respond. She made an awkward gesture, struggling to find words for her response before finally handing the blue pen in her hand. Taehyung blinked.

"Oh, is this okay? Do you--"

"It's okay. Totally fine. No worries. I still have a pen. Don't worry. All good."

Taehyung nods and thanks her quickly, before turning back to the front of the class once Mr Seokjin started writing an equation on the board.

Jeongyeon sat there agape, before realising she had lent her one and only pen.
