Toxic Puppy Love

Chapter 6

Jordan was downstairs eating leftover chicken, waiting for his dad. It was 7:36 and his dad should've been home by now. His face turned red as his mind wandered to what happened with Zane. He finished eating and sat on the couch with Lucy sitting on his lap. He stroked her soft fur and watched Supernatural.
It was about 8:45 when his dad came home, with a black eye and lots of bruises. His hair was messed up and his old wedding ring was gone.
Jordan leapt to his feet, flinging Lucy to the floor. "Dad! What happened?!"
His dad picked up the housephone. "Some little fuckbag teenage attacked me and robbed me!" He called the police and made a report. In 10 minutes, two cops were at his house.
Jordan sat silently on the couch as his dad gave the report.
"I was walking to my car after work, I had to work a little late, and this scrawny kid pulled a gun on me! He told me to give him all my money and I told him to fuck off! He punched me and took my wallet and my wedding ring! My ring that belonged to my dead wife!"
The cop asked if he remembered anything about his attacker's appearance.
"A scrawny boy with shaggy Goth hair. I think it was black? He had blue eyes and the two piecings like this!" He put his fingers on the bottom of his lips, where snake bites would be.
Jordan's heart raced as he realised that was what Zane kinda looked like.
"Do you know what he was wearing?" The cop asked.
Jordan held his breathe waiting for his father's answer.
"A black sweatshirt with the letters B-O-T-D-F on it and black skinny jeans!"
Jordan almost gasped, but he calmed himself, telling himself that could be ANYONE.
The cops shook his hand and left, leaving Jordan and his dad alone.
"Let's eat kid." His dad sighed. He cooked chicken alfredo.
Until Jordan went to bed, he didn't say a word. But laying in his sex-smelling bed, he softly cried and preyed it wasn't Zane who did this to his dad. He finally  fell asleep, dreaming of his mother.
