What is Perfect? How exactly do we define the word perfect? I mean the Webster Dictionary says that being perfect means you're flawless, pure, accurate, and whole lot of other words that aren't even true, because perfection is a word with no meaning. Those definitions don't go in to enough dept.
It is not possible to perfect the human being because society is always one step ahead of the rest of us. For example, say your friend at school got the new iPhone, but you still got the one from the year before, you tried to save up enough for the new one, but by the time you saved up enough money and bought it, they have already come out with the next generation
Why do people try to be perfect anyway? Is it just to impress people? Is it because they have low self-confidence? Is it because they don't think they are good enough? Like seriously what is the point? In my opinion, there is no point because you're just hurting yourself and not getting anywhere.
I have had a personal experience with trying to be perfect, which is why I have my own opinion about it. My freshman year; was where it all started and it was horrible. I was so busy trying to be like everyone else and be perfect; I had not realized I was just ruining my own life. I kept thinking to myself "How come I can't be like those kids? They look so perfect." But then when I got it to deep trouble with my parents, I finally realized, trying to be perfect was nothing but stupidity.
I know that trying to be "perfect" will hurt you physically, emotionally, and mentally. Trying to be perfect can be very insidious, which means it can hurt you terribly. It can hurt your relationships with others. I have gotten this from a ted talk and from the article "The Perfect Type: The Problem of Perfection." I only take some credit for this.
