Chapter 2

Chapter 2:

Maddox's POV:

I see blood dripping down her face, she has a wild look in her eyes. She looks around breathing heavily as if she just ran a marathon. After a few agonizing minutes she meets my eyes, she cowers slightly as I look at her curiously. I take a step forward as she takes a step back, soon enough I've got her backed into a corner. She trembles as I reach for her hand. "Shhhhhhh" I tell her "It's going to be okay, I'm not going to hurt you, please trust me" She allows herself a small smile as she takes my hand. I lead her into a room and sit her down on the bed. She looks around fearfully and then slowly leans back to lay on the bed. I tell her I am going to be right back. She starts to cry and I rush over to her. "That's what he said before he abandoned me" she cries. I tell her I'm never going to leave her side ever.

"Maddox, Maddox, MADDOX" I hear my mom yell from the bottom of the stairs.

I groan as I fall to the floor startled by the lungs of the lady. She tells me that breakfast will be thrown away if I'm not downstairs in ten minutes. I run quickly around my room trying to look presentable, knocking over the stack of homework that I forgot to do. I shove that all frantically in my backpack and head down the stairs tripping on the last step almost face planting into the floor.

"Finally, I thought I was going to have to drag you out of bed by your ear. You sleep like a freaking bear in hibernation!" My mother exclaims as I make my way to the island. I grin sheepishly and mutter a quick apology. Stomping about in the newly remodeled kitchen I manage to make coffee and eat my breakfast. The white cabinets and stainless steel appliances are newly add to our kitchen. After my dad hit a huge payload after he brokered a deal with one of the largest companies in the world we are living quite comfortably. We remodeled our whole house and I finally got a car.

I shout a quick goodbye to my mom as I make my way to the garage. I walk in still marveling in how I finally got my dream car. An Audi A7 in dark grey with black quilted seats. I get in and drive to school wondering if I could fake being sick to get out of it. I park in my regular parking spot next to Tim's. Being soccer star, one of the most popular kids in school and being a senior has its perks.

I walk in the front doors winking at a few of the girls who ogle me when I walk in the doors. Being the Beta's son is basically an automatic ticket to being popular. As I walk toward AP Physics I notice a addicting scent, it smells like fresh cut grass and the smell of a new car. 

"Mmmmmm that smells so freaking good. Follow it, follow it." My wolf Damien yips in my mind

I walk toward it and I see the Alpha's daughter Amber Aristov talking with the pack slut Colette Walters.

"MATE, MATE, MATE." Damien is howling at the tip of his lungs.

I see amber turning around with a shocked look in her eyes. I can see her eyes flickering from gold to blue signaling to me that her wolf is fighting for control. I feel Damien fighting for his control as well. I can tell Amber's wolf is talking to Damien right now.

"Mate" We both say breathlessly at the same time.

Alarm flashes in her eyes. She spins around and takes off in the other direction. I can feel fear and dismay coming off of her in waves. I run after her but then I stop. I see her run off into the woods and change into her wolf. I gasp as I see the color. She is the only white wolf in the whole world.
