The coffee shop was warm. But not temperature wise. I don't know if it was the fact that the world's most beautiful girl is sitting next to me, or that the place was so aesthetically pleasing. But I felt calm.
And I rarely ever felt calm. Ever since u had that first dream about her, I knew it wasn't just a dream. I wonder if she had the dreams too..
"Can I take your order?" The perso . At the front desk said,
"Yes. Can I have a vanilla iced coffee?" I said, before glancing at the girl. Despite all of this, I still failed to ask for her name.
"Yep, and for you?" The lady said to the girl beside me.She ordered the same thing and we made our way to a nearby couch.
She broke the silence before I even had the balls to make eye contact.
"How do I know you?" She said. Her voice so calm and steady. That voice would be the death of me someday.
"Um.. I don't know.." I spoke, very unsure and I knew she caught on the second it left my mouth. She looked at me very suspiciously. "Can I tell you something..?" She said.
"Anything."
"I think I've seen you in a dream before. And no that's not a cheesy pickup line. It's a genuine predicament"
Well. Shit.
"We will get to that in a minute. But what's your name?" I felt a little more confident than usual.
"Janelle"
