Prologue
I quickly ran to the elevator, in a rush to get home. The elevators at the hospital always took forever. I was on the third floor trying to get to ground so I could finally leave. But of course, when I finally get on, we had to go to the fifth floor to pick some asshole who couldn't wait their turn up.
As soon as the doors opened I heard a quiet "excuse me". I looked up and I'm sure my mouth hung to the floor. This couldn't be happening. He was back. The guy I had feigned over for one trimester in high school. He was always there, in the back of my mind, but I never imagined I'd see him again.
By looking at him, all of our memories flood back and I'm overwhelmed by it all. He's back. And maybe I finally have my chance.
