People think Will is dead. Bel air is heaven.
Will Actually died in the fight on the basketball court. Remember how he got into a fight so his mom sent him to bel air. The taxi driver that took Will to his uncles house was god. And if you still think Will is alive. Keep in mind it was a rare taxi cab. The taxi driver could've killed Will and Will's spirit could've went to his aunt and uncles house.
Will only sees his father and mother on special occasions because they come to his grave. For example the day Will died Christmas etc.
