prologue

Yoongi never knew why he was so kind to him. There was just something about him that made him different than the others. Yoongi didn't know what that feeling he felt was whenever he was near the other. Yoongi had felt that tingling in his stomach before, but when he was around him it got ten times worse. Yoongi never tried to figure out why he felt that since he thought it was nothing.

That was until he came to a realization one night while he was laying on his bed. Yoongi had been working on a song with the other male earlier that day, and he couldn't keep his eyes off of him as he sang. He had the biggest crush on one of his members.

Park Jimin.

Yoongi didn't even know when he had started liking the boy. After the realization, he understood why the other members would tease him with Jimin. He understood why every time Jimin hugged him or even just brushed his hand against his own, his heart would start beating faster.

Is that how it feels to truly like someone? Love maybe? Then how does it feel for someone to love you? Is it a better kind of love than love from a friend or family member?

Those were the questions roaming around Yoongi's head that night. He didn't have much experience with love, but he had watched a few romance movies. He stayed awake all night thinking of those questions about the beautiful, yet scary experience of love, but those weren't the only questions that he kept thinking about.

Would he even like me back? What would happen to our friendship if he doesn't? What if he does, then what? Something bad always happens in dramas, could something like that happen in reality?

Along with confusion, fear also lied inside of Yoongi. He was afraid of getting rejected, of what the outcome might be. He planned on keeping it to himself for now. His feelings towards Jimin should be the last thing he should be worried about, he should be worried about composing songs for the new album they were going to release. Yoongi was scared of rejection, but no matter what he would still love Jimin.

Love can't be so difficult, right?
