Chapter Five

Conan POV

"Farewell, Ran. I will be waiting." I said in Shinichi's tone.

I put my bow tie back in my pocket.

Ran fall to the floor and begins to sobbed.

I smiled weakly.

'After all, I'm the guy who's been breaking her heart by making her wait an eternity... even though I'm always by her side.'

"Ran-nēchan...I-I will be outside..." I couldn't look at her face I just left the room and went outside.

I grit my fist and punch the wall.

My hand begin to bleed. But I didn't care.

I can't believe what I just said.

I wish that I could take it back.

After all...It's May fourth. 'The cursed day'.

I Sighed.

Suddenly the wind blowed and some missing paper slammed on my face.

"Son of—!"

Before I said it. My jaw literally dropped. This man...He look like Kaitou Kid!

It said,

                   Have you seen me?

                     Kuroba Kaito  

  He is 174 cm (5' 8.5") tall, weighs 58 kg (128 lbs), has an IQ of 400, and is blood type 'B'

He was last seen on Saturday May third, 1997.

If you have seen him please report immediately.

I see...He have been missing for three years.

That was the same day that Kaitou Kid vanished like thin in the air...

That's also strange...Kid was supposed to be out of 'my' grave...

"Kid, I have already regretted it ever since the end of Kudo Shinichi. Though, thanks for the warning Kid." I smiled softly.

"Well, Tantei-kun I accept your request." Kid nodded.

"Kid..I need warn you, This disguise can take a risk..." Before I finish my sentence Kid interrupted.

"But, I need to own you back since you helped me back then." Kid smiled.

Don't tell me...!?

Shit, Shit, Shit, Shit!

Why, I didn't notice this before!?

What the hell is wrong with me?!

I ran and ran.

I ran as fast as I could.

Ten minutes later...

Finally...Huff..Huff..I'm here...

I quickly rush to 'my' grave.

Oh my god...

Bullet. There is a bullet that is...Covered with blood...Oh god.

Don't tell me..that he is shot by a sniper!?

Oh god..What if I done?

Suddenly I see a shiny object on ground.

I bend down and look at the shiny object.

It look like...White monocle! But, it covered with blood.

Wait the minute...Wasn't Kid wear a white monocle on his right eye?

Wait...Could it be...?! 

He was carried?!

That means...Kid is a alive!

I sighed with a relief.

Thanks you for my daily heart attack Kid..

I rolled my eyes.

Now...I need to go to the hospital. The closest hospital.

I moved my arm in the air and waved.

"Taxi!" I Screamed.

Five minutes later...

"Excused me!" I yelled at the nurse which I didn't mean to. I'm kinda in a hurry.

"Yes?" Nurse replied.

"I'm a detective. I have few questions for you." I said with my eyes were full of determination.

"Uh..Sure?" Nurse give me a nervous look.

I Sighed.

"Were you were working on May fourth 1997. Three years ago?" I asked.

"Yes." 

"Have you seen a man who was wearing a white silk?" I asked.

"Oh yes! That boy! He was very lucky that he have survived. However, the bullet nearly hit his heart. It's was a miracle that he have survived! However, he is in Coma for three years. Do you need to see him?" Nurse asked.

I nodded.

"Okay, the room number is...153. Good luck!" Nurse winked at me and give me a thumbs up.

"Thanks." I Smiled.

I quickly walked fast to room 153.

I opened the door.

I gasped.

"K-K-K-Kid?!" I Stammered.

"Tantei-kun?" Kaito Kuroda stared at me.
