The Secrets of an Assassin

Prolouge

                   Almost finished with tonight, I only have one more. Then I can go home, get something to eat, and sleep before school tomorrow. I thought to myself as I sat on the rooftop of a nearby building. It is a quiet night, the only people out was a man walking his dog, and the occasional car driving down the road. I have been scooping out his where abouts for weeks now.

                Right at 10:30 rolled around the man I was looking for walks down the street. "Just like clockwork," I said to myself. I jump down from the building down it to the alleyway without making a sound. I walk out and looked for the man, he was about 100 yards away and has not seen me yet. So I go and stand by the lamppost and pretend to check my phone right as he passes me. I grabbed him by the collar, picking him off his feet, and threw him against the wall in the alleyway.

                 When he sees my face he says "Long time no see," in an amused voice. He distracted me for enough time to throw a good my punch at my head. Then at my arm holding him against the wall. I just brushed it off, my gloved hand went to his throat. "I see you've gotten stronger since the last time," he said through gasps for air. I slipped my knife out of my jacket.

                    "I have had enough with your lies and games. You made me this," I was furious. "You twisted my genetics and made me a monster. This all your doing. And now you are going to die for it. You promised me a way to make me stronger. Not a monster." That was when I drove my knife into his heart. As I watched the life leave him, I felt satisfaction in my work. This guy was one of my hardest jobs yet. I already made an attempt but it failed that was when I had to get smart.

               As I drove down the street I saw something run into an alley. I thought about stopping to see what it was but I kept driving. My mind wandered in and out of many different memories. Many of the times when I was in the Camp.

No more people will get hurt. No monster left. May God save our souls.
