  The season rubs me raw

The old barn was more alive than Marko had ever seen it. Bobbie and Ruth were on the stage with the band singing an old and enchanting folk song. The music blared and all around the ex-soldiers couples moved and danced in an almost ritualistic motion. The whole atmosphere was dreamlike. He waded through the sea of bodies looking for X. She had seemingly vanished after her song. He resorted to the first familiar face, Wings.

"Lori!" He called over the music.

The Nephilim turned to him smiling as she swayed to the sounds of the fiddle.

"Marko!"

Lori's eyes glittered in the light as she danced. She giggled and something told Marko that she knew something he did not.

Before he could speak she said something rather odd," She's down by the sea."

He started to question her but Lori only smiled and devolved into the waves of party goers. He looked around but found no one. The only familiarity he could find was the large doors to the barn. She's down by the sea Lori's words played over in his mind. He felt dizzy.

He pushed through the crowds' people. He felt like he was drowning in that chaos. And stepping out into the night air was like breaching the surface of the sea he could breathe. He could see the coast and endless seas in the distance. Down by sea.

He started to the sea the music from the party still pounding on his ears. The sweet melody and haunting lyrics urged him on.

This Season rubs me raw

The summer seas are gone

Pull me down, Tear me up,

I'll bare it all, just to feel her love

Down by the water,

down by the wild sea tide...

The sounds of music harmonized with the ocean's waves. And as Marko neared the short he seen her, a figure standing in the shallows. Her blue hair whipped around in the wind and her bare skin seemed to glisten in the moonlight. She was facing the sea and wrapped in her great-grandfathers military jacket.

"Xavier." He spoke in a whisper.

She turned smiling the air and sea started to stir with an otherworldly intensity. Her hair and jacket thrash in the intense wind. He could see all of her now. She wore nothing beneath her jacket. She wore a nervous expression on her face. The Her eyes met his. Her apprehension dissolved. Her eyes were a wild and stormy blue, and now they beckoned him like sirens at sea.

"I've been waiting for you."

She steeled herself and stepped forward letting the jacket fall to the bend of her elbows, baring her chest.

She was otherworldly, bathed in moonlight, her damp skin shone a pale gold and seemed to shimmer in a heavenly way. She was ethereal, a goddess of the sea and night, born from a long forgotten mythology. The waves crashed to shore with more urgency now, as if the sea longed to be with the bare shore

And he went to her. He grasps her arms catching the heavy fabric at her elbows. He leaned close to her, locking his eyes with her own.

"Xavier...what are you doing?"

She smiled and slid her hands under the heavy flannel, she pushed the fabric off his shoulders and it fell into the waves. The music was rising in intensity and the raging sea was crashing onto the back of her legs.

Marko began to speak are you sure?

"I'm more sure of this than anything ever before." She spoke as if she knew the very words he was about to speak. She stepped towards him, her jacket abandoned to the waves as she stepped forward. Her eyes did not leave his as ran her hands over his chest. And his arm wrapped around her body. The sky was illuminated with millions of multicolored stars and wind and sea sang with the blaring music in the distance. In that serine pandemonium space between them closed and he pulled her into a soft kiss. Soft became as wild as that chaos around them. She tasted him on her lips. Sweet and salty like sea spray and vanilla.

"I love you." He murmured against her lips. Though She could hear the music and ocean raging around her she felt worlds away. Her mind replayed every moment they had shared. A kaleidoscope of emotions and memories ran through her like electricity. She ran her hands under his damp shirt. And his shirt was abandoned to the mercy of the now ravenous surf. It seemed as if the earth itself could feel the yearning between them.

The ocean raged around them. Xavier felt his hands run over her waist like the sea ran along the shore. Together they fell to there knees. his hands slipped down between her thighs.

"Oh god" heat washed over her, he touched her and She felt sensations she had never felt before. A pleasure raging inside her like the surf surrounding them. As his lips trailed down her neck her nails dug into his shoulder and her head tilted back. The night sky spun in her vision and his name passed by her lips, a whisper in the wind. His hands pulled her closer to him. Her eyes fell back to his form, her hands fell to his waist. He leaned back on his elbows and looked at her oddly. The soaked fabric of his jeans was pulled away. She only glanced down for a second. Her eyes shot back up to his and a hot flush tinted her cheeks. She bit her lip and took him in her hands. she watched his body react to her touch. The way his back arched and his eyes filled with a new unknown pleasure. He was beautiful in a completely vulnerable way which she had never seen before. She wanted to shield him, from the sea, from this war, from everything that was tainted about the universe.

His hands dug into her thighs and she moved her hands to his shoulder to steady herself; she stood on her knees and brought herself onto him like the sea to the shore, letting out a small gasp as she did so. She moved feeling the raging of the storm and crashing waves build inside her. Around them, the same ravenous nature raged, as if the whole world knew their feelings. His hands gripped her hips to steady her. She felt him move inside her. Slow. Harder. Faster. The music was blaring with the wind and waves, a symphony of melodic sounds raged with a supernatural intensity. Then the crashing waves inside her faded to calm waters and she dissolved around him. A second later he shuttered his release. the wild winds ceased, and he called her name to stars and sea. She slipped back off of him. a bittersweet calm settled between them. She curled up in the sand beside him. And he took her in his arms. The stormy sea had calmed and the music had faded to silence. A strange serenity fell upon the world.

"That was..."

"Intense."

He grabbed her damp jacket and wrapped it around her. And together they talked late into the night and she fell asleep to sounds of his heartbeat and the gentle lapping of the sea.
