Dan walked into the lounge where Phil was sitting on the couch. Phil typing away at his laptop and didn't notice the figure standing in the doorway.
"Hey, you've been working really hard lately. I was thinking of going out tonight, as a break."
"Yeah, yeah, sure. Tonight," Phil mumbled, not really paying attention to his boyfriend's request.
Dan walked over to Phil, "Are you even listening to me, Phil?" The use of his name snapped him out of his work. Phil looked up at Dan, a small smile on his lips. Dan leaned down, face oh so close to Phil's, then closing the space. Phil's arms wrapped around Dan's neck, Dan cupping Phil's cheek, and lips moving together perfectly.
They finally let go of the sweet kiss, staring into each other's eyes for a moment while they both take shaky breaths.
"Yeah, let's go to dinner," Phil says with a wide smile plastered to his face.
Later that night, after dinner, they both agreed to never let work get in the way of their relationship.
"I love you"
