"Interview"

"Vanessa, last time we saw you, you were in a pretty bad place, right?" Said the interviewer, Mia.
"I guess you could say that Mia. Elaborate?"
"You had just gotten out of this toxic relationship with singer Jack Gilinsky, and then immediately jumped into another with rapper Lil Xan? That was fast. How did it last?"
"Me and Diego were together for about 5 months."
"Wow. Do you still talk with Jack? You two, yet on and off, were always pretty serious, right?"
"Yeah, we talk. We're best friends. I still hang with the crew and make time with my new mans and the new job."
"That's right! You were a model. You've changed so much after the last 2 years."
"Hm?"
"You went from hard core drugs and profanity on Insta to... what now? Starring on Disney XDs Lab Rats and dating your co-star, Bill Unger?"
"It's William Brent now, but yes." I smiled.
"You portrayed a role in season 5 of Teen Wolf!"
"Yeah." I smiled.
"Well, tell us about it! You were already friends with one of the stars, right?"
"Yeah, me and Dylan were best friends way before I was on the show. He came to Canada and helped me move when I was put on the Sharks. He's the greatest!"
"Tell me about your character. "
"In season 5, I play Tessa, she's a werewolf that knew Derek in the past. They date for a bit, blah blah blah, gonna have to watch show, and there's a plottwist: she's Scott's cousin. So it creates a bit of tension. She becomes really close with Stiles and Lydia, and wants them together just as much as the Stydia shippers do." I wink.
"And after season 5 ended, you became a main character in Lab Rats! Tell us about your character."
"Okay, so I play Darden. She's Chase's first ever girlfriend. They honestly have the strongest TV relationship ever. She knows about all the bionics, everything Davenport hides, and still loves Chase."
"And she's on Lab Rats: Elite Force, correct?"
"Of course! She goes wherever Chase goes, and vice versa."
"Who, besides William, would you say you're the closest with out of the entire cast?"
"Um... they're all gonna get really mad," I giggle, "but on Lab Rats, I'm closest with Kelli, and Elite Force, I'm closest with either Spencer or Jake. Off set, we're all really great friends. Tyrel and Paris and Bradley are amazing too, but I have closer bonds with Spencer, Kelli, and Jake."
"How's your relationship with William? How different is it than your one with Jack?"
"With Billy, everything's enhanced. Everything is bigger, better, greater than anything I've ever experienced. I don't feel like he's holding me back. Every moment is even more intense than the last. He loves going on adventures with me. It's strongly passionate, but sweet. Nothing's a competition, he pays attention to my every word. I could've never asked for a bigger angel. Or, at least, that's how I'd say it. If you want me to sound like him, it'd sound more like 'it's pretty awesome man, I love her lots'." I made the audience laugh and looked backstage to see Billy was cracking up. Mia had pictures of us from Instagram and Snapchat on the background.

"With you and Jack, you were more of a rated R type profile. Do you feel like working with Disney has made you more young?"
"Mia, I'm 22. It definitely feels like more of a weight has been lifted."
"With Jack, well, he was a smack. With that jawline, that tan, how do you feel it's different?"
"Looks aren't important to me. We got in a talk about this when we were all hanging out after shooting a few scenes a few days ago. There are two types of 20 years olds: the ones that look like Jack Gilinsky or Tyler Posey, and then the ones that look like Jake. Jake looks more like a boy. Even Billy sometimes looks younger. And Bradley. They all got so mad, but it was worth it."
"Ahhh yes. Jake Short and Bradley Steven Perry do have their boyish charms, don't they?"
"Trust me, half the things that come outta Jake's mouth do NOT sound like a little boy." Everyone laughed. Mia had tears.
"You were dating Billy before your role on Lab Rats, right?"
This is uncomfortable. "Yes, I was."
"And you knew Dylan before your role on Teen Wolf, correct?"
"Why do I feel like I'm on trial? Like a jury is watching me, Mia."
"Who helped you get half your modeling gigs?"
"Johnson and G." I gulped. "But I did most."
"Uh huh. So I guess you could say it helps to know people in the right places?" She laughed.
Billy walked out on stage and sat beside me on the couch. He took my hand. Mia looks nervous.
"Look! A special guest star, William Brent Unger!"
"I will not sit backstage and let my girlfriend be attacked on stage. Do you feel good about yourself? Yeah, we met at a party, we were talking for a couple weeks, and I recommended her to the casting directors. But she got the part on her own. Just like she got the Teen Wolf part on her own. If she was using me for a part on a show, do you think we'd be together for a year? I didn't think so. I think it's time for a commercial break, because we're way past our time. Have a nice day, Mia."
Billy dragged me off the stage.
We got backstage, he handed me my phone, and kissed me for a long while.
I smiled. "Thank you. Bit what was that last part for?" I giggled.
"If anyone ever treats you like that, tries to embarrass you like that ever again, you tell me, okay? Not Johnson, not Dylan, not Sammy or Stassie or Nate, not Kelli, or Spencer or Jake or Brad, me. Okay?"
He smiled, but it looked fake.
"William?"
His eyes moved to my phone.
I clicked the home button.

I focused on the third one.
For a really long time.

I wiped a single tear across my face.
"Come on, it's been a rough day, I'm taking you home.
He carefully took my phone and powered it off.
"Wait, don't."
"Why?"
"I need to call someone first."
"Are you sure there isn't anything I can do?"
"Take me home, let me see this person, and then we're having sex. All night. Got it?"
He grinned. "Wait, baby, I'm supposed to be making you feel better." He winked and took my hand.
"Oh, come on, goof." I smiled.
He makes me the happiest girl in the world.
