P I P E R

I slowly opened my eyes as I felt a sharp pain in my back. I looked around. That's when last night came flooding back to me. I was in Wyatt's apartment.

I rubbed my back as my muscles aches from sleeping on the stiff couch.

"You're up" said a voice from behind me. I whipped around to see Jaeden making coffee.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked.

"Asleep," he pulled some bread out from the cupboard, "Wyatt's hungover so I wouldn't be expecting him anytime soon. As for Jack and Finn, they wouldn't be caught dead awake before 10."

I smiled as I stretched out my arms.

"Thanks for letting me crash here." I said, "Seriously I really appreciate it."

"Anytime, Piper." He said grinning.

"You're good for him, you know?" He said, "Wyatt, you're good for him." Jaeden let out a small laugh, "You know sometimes I would think, he's never going to be happy. He's never going to know what that feels like. Then I see him with you."

"Jaeden it's not-"

"I'm not saying to have to marry him Piper," he said, "just....be there."

"What about you Jaeden?" I asked.

"What?"

"You spend all this time worrying about Wyatt. You basically are a parent to Jack and Finn. Hell, you even made sure I had a nice place to sleep last night."

"Your point?" He said, looking down.

"You take care of everyone Jae, but who takes care of you?"

"You should probably go check on Wyatt," he gulped, "He'll want to know you're okay."

I stood up, grabbing a notepad on the counter.

"This is Riley's number. You could use each other. Call."

I quietly knocked on Wyatt's door as I heard a groan.

"You awake sleepyhead?" I whispered.

"Unfortunately, yes" He mumbled.

I laughed as I walked into his room.

"Wow" He said looking up at me, "you look like shit."

"What a gentleman you are, Oleff" I scoffed. "You don't look to hot yourself."

He did. Fuck.

I sat down on his chair and started looking around the room. It was simple, nothing much. White bedspread and white painted walls. He had a collage of pictures right over his headboard, otherwise no decorations.

I began to study the pictures. Some of Steph. Some of the boys. I giggled a little as I saw some of me.

"You wanna go get coffee?" He asked, breaking me out of thoughts.

"Yeah, sure." I said, walking out of his room.

I sat on the couch as I waited for Wyatt to change.

"Ready to go?" I looked up and saw Wyatt. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a supreme sweatshirt.

We ran down the steps of the apartment building and climbed into my car.

"You know, we've both slept over at each other's places now Piper," he said smirking, "we're pretty far along. It's only a matter of time before we sleep together."

I started laughing.

"What's so funny about the idea of us?" He asked.

"I don't know." I said, "You're my friend. That's just weird."

"Oh so you're too good for me?" He replied, teasingly. "Why, who's been hit by the Piper train in bed?"

"No one." I said quietly.

"No one?" He said, exasperated, "as in no guy ever?"

"Yes, no guy ever." I said, "Wyatt were only 17. And I already get enough crap about from Riley."

"But like, you've never had a boyfriend?"

"Of course I've had a boyfriend, it just never felt right." I said looking down.

"That's surprising." He said. "I mean look at you."

"Just shut up." I said laughing.

"So I guess that means you've never been in love then?" He said.

"No I've been in love." I said, "just not with any of them. I think I fall in love with anyone just a tiny bit who lets me in."

"So does that mean you love me?" He asked.

"Is this it then? Am I in?"

"For the long haul baby."
