"Hmmmm, sarap naman ng ganito ang gising..." I said to her sleepily. I looked at the girl beside me who's arms were wrapped tightly around my waist. Nakapatong ang ulo niya above my chest, and I could feel the rhythmic rise and fall of her breathing.
I slowly repositioned my body para makita ko ang mukha niya at mayakap din siya, that's when her eyes fluttered open and looked up at me.
I gave her a smile, then a kiss on her forehead before saying "Good morning beh..."
She hugged me tighter, at siniksik ang mukha niya sa leeg ko, then said "Sleep pa tayo please..."
I chuckled at her, at medyo nakiliti din ako sa pagkasiksik niya, but I embraced her tighter as well.
What a great way to start the morning, I thought, before drifting back to sleep.
I woke up to my phone ringing, and as I reached around to look for it, I felt an empty bed beside me. I got up and looked around, looking for Jho, before I realized that it was just a dream!
Panaginip Bea! Pumapasok nanaman siya sa panaginip mo!
Hay, this is bad. Maybe if I just answered that text message, matatahimik na ako. Because honestly, in the past two weeks, she was mostly what I've been thinking about.
So I've made up my mind and grabbed my phone.
Me: Hey Jhoana, good morning. Sorry it took so long for me to respond, I've just been busy. Anyway, I'll be in Manila tomorrow, so if you still wanna talk, send me a message. Tc
Nakatulong ang usapan namin ni Kuya sa decision ko, we both agreed na I needed this for closure.
A few days after din, it was Dad who came to talk to me naman. He knew what happened between me and Jhoana as well, and isa nga siya sa mga pinaka naapektuhan because he treated Jhoana like his own daughter, he welcomed her with no hesitation and fondly called her as "Bunso".
After we broke up, I knew Dad missed her, pero nasaktan din siya when he learned what happened. So when he talked to me, tinanong lang niya if I was sure about my decision and then said that he trusted me to make the right one.
What a great family huh?
A few minutes after sending the message came the immediate reply.
Jhoana: Yes Bei, I still would like to explain. Where can I meet you?
Me: I'll be staying at the Diamond Hotel, maybe we can meet up there?
Jhoana: Yes please, what time are you available?
