"Lola, we need to go over the food plan tonight."
"Okay right after I get my bunk made?"
"Yeah, no rush just we're inviting all the bands on tour to a dinner party"
"Alright Tony then I guess I better start cooking. Instead of cooking for 14 I'll be cooking for 40."
"Actually 42, but who's counting."
"Tony I really appreciate this job opportunity. Thanks for talking the guys into giving it to me instead of the other person.
"You know I'd do anything for you and a Tegan I love you guys like family. So does the rest of the band. You're one of us now. Now give me a hug and finish up here and we can meet in the lounge in 10?"
"Sounds great! See you then."
Just as Tony left the bunks my phone vibrate, It was my mom.
"Hey mom, everything ok? Its only been 27 minutes since we got on the road."
"Tegan wanted to say something to you."
"Okay, put him on also mom thanks for watching him. Just this is a great job for me."
"I love hanging with Tee, I have nothing else to do all summer. I love you sweetie.
"You too mom."
"Mommyy guess what! Guess What!"
"You are having fun with nana"
"Yes but Nana bought me star wars underwear! ."
"Thats awesome! Look baby I got to go but mommy loves you!"
"Tell uncle Tony I said I love him and I know you love uncle tony too and me mommy because I love you too! Bye."
I hung up the phone tossing it into my bunk, for a seven year old he was to smart for his own good. He could see what it took me two years to see, that I was in love with Tony. Only one thing was stopping me from sharing my feelings with him.. Tegan father.
"Hey Lo, you ready!" Tony called.
"Yea coming."
I plopped down in between Tony and Mike. Mike wrapped his arm around me. "How is my corn muffin maker?"
"I am good, just got off the phone with Tee. He wanted to tell me my Mom bought him star wars undies a. Also that he loves his uncle Tony."
Tony smiled, God that smile!
"So, dinner plan. I was thinking just a huge pot of chili and Lola famous corn bread muffins." Vic said rubbing his hands together.
"Yeah sounds good, quick and easy." Jaime said
"Just like Tony" Joked Mike.
Everyone laughed, "Okay so it sounds like a plan! Glad we have that huge pot to cook it in. Who wants to help me"
"I will, I love cooking!"
"Yeah we still have packing to do right Mike?"
"Yep and Jaime needs to seriously help me with um something.."
"I guess it is just us Tony. You get the onions and tomatoes, I'll get the beans and peppers and meat. We can do two chili one with both meat and beans and one just beans for our meat free people."
"Alright we better get to chopping!"
I know it's short but I am in my bed and it's sort of late.
