Part Nine: "Secret Admiration"

It’s a whole new day rising up from the Land of the Orient Pearl, or for short, in Philippines. The roosters are making noise that really sounds up as an early alarm for common Filipinos living in barrios and towns. This noise causes you to wake up.

“I never expected that roosters here could be so loud.” You yawned and wiped your eyes.

Turning over to your side, your eyes glance over that sleeping man of yours. Gently snoring since he’s into a deep sleep.

“Mi-chan, why are you so charismatic even while sleeping.” You held his face and gently touch it.

You slowly bended your head and gave him a morning kiss on his cheek.

“Mi-chan, you are too perfect for my morning.” You romantically smiled.

Suddenly, you heard someone opening the door. You sat down and behaved yourself since you are in different place.

_____-chan: Oh. Good morning mother.

You gave a cheerful smile as you greet the mother in the family. She smiles back and was about to say something.

Woman/Mother: _____, You awake, You want go out? Me need help.

______-chan: Sure, I’ll help.

Mother: Thank you ______. Well, the young man sleep okay?

_____-chan: Yes, he’s sleeping soundly right now.

You immediately got out of the bamboo bed. Both of you came out of the house to buy something for breakfast.

Actually, this is your first time to get out of the house and it’s kind of surprising. Almost elders are out to do chores and after you came along with mother, they stop on their chores and stared at you, like you caught their attention.

Mother: You okay?

____-chan: Yes, I am.

Mother: People look you because you look foreigner.

___-chan: Hahaha, you’re right mother.

In almost 15 mins, you and mother already bought the stuff you need for making a standard breakfast. Then after you got home, you saw older sister up awake and sweeping the front yard.

Mother: Anak, gising ka na pala. (Daughter, you’re now awake.)

Older Sister: Opo Ma, Nga pala, Exercise ko as usual. (Yes Mom, By the way, My exercise as usual.)

Mother: Ikaw talaga, Anak. Si _____, tutulungan nya ako magluto ngayon ng almusal. (Really you, Daughter. _______ is helping me to cook for breakfast today.)

Older Sister: Wow, Excited na ako. Do you best, ______. (Wow, I’m excited)

___-chan: Thanks.

You and Mother went inside and start cooking. While the people awake are very busy, the little girl just woke up and sneaked inside her old room who is now occupied by a sleeping Mi-chan. Suddenly she opened the door and gave out a loud sound.

Little Girl: kreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!

Mi-chan immediately woke up and due to his shock he accidentally fell on the bed. His butt got hurt and gave a sad face.

Mi-chan: Why do you have to scare me like that, look your Kuya Yuma got hurt.

Little Girl: Sorry Kuya Yuma.
