Goodbye

One Year Later

"Natsu, it'll be one year since we met for the first time." He said a voice full of pride and strength. It was Zafrun, a dragon who decided to train Natsu. It's been one year of training. Zafrun was surprised how Natsa could quickly understand his teachings. After some time, he learned other techniques and a bit of dragon history. During the time he began training him, he knew that Natsu was very powerful. Most dragons take almost a lifetime to learn everything they need. But Natsu did it all in one year. He has a great talent and with a little help he lost his childhood act. It's still the same Natsu, but he's more grown up. The Water Dragon knew he had finally repaid his debt to Igneel. And at least he has done away with his sin. But he knew the sin would remain for the rest of his life.

"You proved impossible in that year. You learned all the techniques I could teach you. I have nothing more to teach you." The dragon said proud of his student. But there was one more thing Natsu had to do. The evil they have created is approaching. He's looking for him, and he knows he'll find him once. But before it happens, he wants to give his power to Natsu. For the first time, he only thought, but now he knows Natsu is the only one who can defeat him. There is not much of its kind. He knows only about the four who survived his rise. And he plans to send Natsu to them to train him.

"Natsu, there's the last thing you have to do. You have to kill me." Zafrun was glad he met him. At least at the end of his life, he knew what joy he was. And now he gives him all his remaining strength. Natsu was surprised and horrified. Kill him? But why? Why should I kill him? These were the thoughts he had in his mind.

"What are you talking about? Killing you? Why?!" Natsu shouted. He did not understand what was happening. He takes Zafrun as his second father. He can not just kill him.

"Natsu, you have to understand me. I told you about the evil we created. He looks for me and is approaching every day. When he finds me, he kills me, but I want to give all my strength to you." Zafrun sighed. "Natsu, I know it's hard for you, but you have to do it. Do it and gain my strength. Do it to protect your friends, your guild, the woman you love." Natsu was horrified but knew he had to do it. If the evil finds him, he will not kill him so easily. He will play with him and then kill him.

"I understand what to do." Natsu said, tears in his eyes. He took him as his father and now he must kill him. He had a lot of good memories with him. He felt like he was with Igneel again. And as with Igneel, he has to say goodbye to him. For his heart it was a heavy blow. But he has a task he has to accomplish. For the guild, for his friends, for his love. He wanted to put an end to one attack, and he chose his strongest technique.

"Natsu, before you do it, I'll tell you something. Go north and find other dragons and train with them. Only four of them are left and you have to catch them before him." Natsu jumped into the air and headed toward him. This was his end. At least he did something. He trained a man who would become a legend. The man who becomes the true King of the Dragons. He gave a little smile as he saw Natsu approaching. "And remember. I'll always be with you. Thank you, Natsu. Thank you, for showing me what to meant to be happy." He closed his eyes and remembered all the moments when they laughed, when they just talked. He really felt like a father. 

Thank you, Natsu...

"Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!"

Natsu just stood there. He did not know how long. He had a sad look on his face, but no tears. Zafrun would not want him to cry. He had to go, for himself and for him. It was all his fault. He had to kill him because of him. Once he finds him, and then he takes revenge for what he has done. But he was most worried when he realized that it would be the same with the other dragons. They will definitely want to fall by my hand than his. Then he turned and started his journey.

"Master, how long will it take for the second phase to be ready?" It was the Eirons Wrath Guild Hall. Only there was more light than last. And a lot more magicians. Each day their ranks grew bigger. No one was able to deal with them. Only one guild.

"Do not worry. In order for all preparations to be complete, we have to wait for three years. Then we are finally destroying them. We will destroy Fairy Tail."
