You searched the crowd until your eyes met mine.

The whole place seemed to be quiet. You looked at me tenderly and smiled.

"Will you marry me?" You asked and everyone seemed to shout out loud.

I stood frozen.

The world disappeared around me. Only your voice entered my head.

'Just say yes and marry me. Even though we were never properly together, I know we were met to be. Just say yes.'

I couldn't speak.

I knew either answer would be the wrong one. But I did love you.

I just knew I couldn't love you for long.

And I didn't.
