"Happy Birthday Sean!"
Sean woke up with a startled gasp, quickly sitting up to see the egos and Signe gathered around him.
"Jesus, you guys scared me." Sean huffed as he laid back down, wearily rubbing his face with his hands.
"Robbie love you!" Robbie exclaimed as he hopped up onto the bed and gave Sean a hug.
"Love you too buddy." Sean laughed, ruffling Robbie's hair.
"I thought you said sleep was for the weak?" Anti spoke up tauntingly as Robbie was dragged off of the bed by Signe.
Sean replied by flipping him off as he sat up again and hopped off of the bed, receiving a kiss from Signe as he held her close.
"Morning." Signe whispered in his ear.
"Top of the morning to ya." Sean countered with a soft chuckle.
"We made breakfast!" Jackaboy-Man announced proudly as the couple broke apart.
"I'm coming." Sean promised as he followed the energetic ego to the kitchen where a tower of waffles was waiting for him, as well as a mug of coffee.
"Ve hope you like." Schneep interjected.
"I love it guys, thank you." Sean assured the egos with a smile, taking a seat at the table.
Jameson produced a plate for Sean with a flourish, setting it at the table for him before sitting down next to him.
Signe sat on the other side of him, Jackaboy-Man sat across from Sean, Robbie laid down on the floor by Sean's feet, Schneep and Chase sat next to Jackaboy-Man, and Anti took a waffle and left the room.
"Anti, come back here!" Signe called out.
"What?" Anti huffed as he poked his head into the room.
"Stay here." Signe instructed firmly, gesturing to a seat next to her.
"No." Anti pouted, folding his arms over his chest.
"Anti-"
"It's fine, he can go." Sean interrupted, looking up from his food at the demon.
Anti's expression flashed briefly with hurt as he shuffled out of the room once more without a glance back.
"Good thing he's gone." Jackaboy-Man muttered under his breath as he stabbed a waffle with his fork.
"C'mon man, not today." Sean sighed in exasperation, setting his silverware down by his plate to look at the hero.
"Let's face it Sean, no one in here likes him! He's nothing but a glitch bitch!" Jackaboy-Man exclaimed.
"He's not wrong." Chase chimed in through a mouthful of waffle.
"I thought we moved past this guys." Signe frowned.
"Look Sean, ve care about you and Signe, but ve can only deal with Anti for so long." Schneep admitted.
"He apologized to all of you millions of times!" Sean reminded them.
"Apologies don't change the past." Marvin countered.
"I can't just let him run around by himself." Sean pointed out.
"So then what do we do with him?" Chase prompted.
"You could start by not talking about me behind my back."
Everyone at the table jumped in surprised when Anti appeared in the doorway, absent mindlessly twirling a knife in his hand.
"Anti-"
"I get it, I'll go." Anti cut Sean off, glaring at him as he abruptly disappeared.
"Damnit." Sean cursed angrily, running a hand through his hair in exasperation.
"Call Felix, he could help you look." Signe suggested.
Sean nodded and jogged to his bedroom to get his phone, scooping it up off of his bedside table before dialing Felix's number.
"Hey Sean, what's up?" Felix asked.
"Anti left and I don't know where he went." Sean explained in a rush.
"Why are you calling me? I don't know a damn about finding demons!" Felix argued.
"Can you just keep an eye out for him then?" Sean huffed in irritation.
"Sure, I'll let you know if I see him." Felix promised before hanging up.
"I checked the house, he's not in any of the rooms. I even checked his favorite hiding spot in the closet." Jackaboy-Man stated with a frown.
"Anyone else have any bright ideas?" Sean asked the group.
"I don't really know vhere I'd go if I vas a demon." Schneep admitted.
Jameson shrugged when Sean glanced over at him, seeming out of ideas as well.
"I can send send my septic spy to look for him." Marvin offered.
"Septic spy?" Sean repeated in confusion.
"I'll show you." Marvin smirked as he pulled a card out of his pocket, tossing it out in front of him to create a small green eyeball.
"You never run out of surprises do you?" Sean remarked in awe as he watched Marvin's eye turn the same color as it.
"I can see what it sees, so I'll scope out the city to find him." Marvin told Sean as he sent the eye out the door to begin the search.
"Can we go out and search?" Jackaboy-Man asked hopefully.
"You're just asking so you can go outside." Sean retorted.
"I mean yeah, but still." Jackaboy-Man shrugged, semi-apologetic.
"I see him!" Marvin exclaimed, catching everyone's attention.
"He's with a man with black hair in a suit. His eyes..." Marvin trailed off as he closed his eyes in concentration.
"His eyes a pitch black."
Abruptly Marvin screamed in pain as he fell to the floor, blood running down his face from his green eye that was shifting back to its normal color.
"Vhat happened?" Schneep demanded, kneeling in front of the magician.
"T-the man crushed my eye in his fist." Marvin stuttered shakily as Schneep wiped the blood away with a towel Signe had brought him.
"What about Anti?" Sean cut in worriedly.
"The last thing I saw was Anti taking his hand." Marvin recounted.
"I think we may be in trouble."
