Y/N's POV
"A baby shower?" Aph asked, as we entered the Phoenix Mall.
"Yeah, A baby shower for Gina and Zane. What do you think?" Aphmau nodded, contemplating the idea.
"Yeah, that sounds awesome! We could ask KC to make some Cupcakes for Zane, and could you whip something up for Gina? I could make some egg salad, and Aaron could make a thing of lasagna," As Aphmau listed food items, I directed her to the nearest party store. Aphmau continued to babble on as I gathered the supplies and checked out.
"Did Zianna or Aric get the message that they're going to become Grandparents soon?" I asked, snapping Aphmau out of her listing frenzy.
"I don't believe so, the Ro'Meaves live a ways away and Gina's Dad went to the beach in Notmystreet City with my Mom,"
(Such a unique street name uh? XD)
"Y/n! Aphmau!" I glanced up, seeing both Gina and Zane exiting Hot Topic, Zane carrying at least three large bags. Gina made her way to us as Aph began to freak out.
"No, no, no! the baby shower was supposed to be a surprise for her!"
"Calm down, and we'll be good, Gina isn't that smart," I whispered to Aphmau, as Gina came into ear shot.
"What are you two doing here?" I laughed, rubbing the back of my head, trying to come up with something.
"Ugh... Aph and I were hanging out and got hungry, we felt like having some Chinese," Gina gave a small nod as Zane finally made it to Gina's side. "What are you guys up to? That's a lot of bags," I asked, not giving Gina the chance to think.
"Well, I was board, so I asked Zane to drive me to Hot Topic," Spoke Gina, earning a scoff from Zane. "What?"
"You didn't ask, you more like yelled at me to go and when I said no you began to cry," I laughed, watching Gina's cheeks puff up, and turn a cherry red from embarrassment.
"I did not cry!"
"Yeah you did,"
"No I didn't,"
"Yeah uh,"
"Nuh uh,"
"Yeah uh,"
"Nuh uh,"
"Nuh uh,"
"Yeah uh! W-wait no! I didn't mean that!" Gina punched Zane in the arm, but he didn't even flinch, his mask lifting up, me being able to tell that he had was smiling.
Gina continued on yelling at Zane, as me and Aph excused ourselves, Zane waving good bye as we exited the mall.
"Well, that was close!" Aphmau laughed, opening the passenger door. I hummed in agreement, tossing the party supplies in the back, before getting in the drivers seat. I buckled my seat belt before my phone buzzed in my back pocket. I quickly pulled it out seeing that Garroth had called me at least ten times, and had sent 29 messages.
My phone vibrates once more.
Correction. 30.
I click on the notification, seeing the message.
Garroth- Where are you?
Y/n- At the mall with Aph. Why?
Garroth- At Olive Garden, awaiting my date.
"Crap," I breathed.
"What?" Aphmu asked, rolling her window up and down, then back up again.
"I had a thing with Garroth today, and forgot all about it!" I tossed my phone to the side, jamming my keys into the car, and twisting them, before the roar of the engine came, I quickly backed up, before speeding to my house, stopping at a red light.
Aphmau laughed, her hand clutching to the stress handle on the hood of the car.
"You could slow down you speed demon! Irene! Garroth will wait for you, trust me," I groaned, knowing that she was right. Garroth would wait...I guess he's just that sweet.
The Dork.
The light quickly turned green, as I stepped on the gas, making sure to go the speed limit. Getting onto Mystreet, I stopped the car in front of Aph's house sitting in the drive way.
"I'll take the stuff and hide it in my basement, since Gina doesn't live with me, Oh! And thanks for the fun day out! Have fun with you and Garroth's thing!" I nodded, as Aph closed the car door, and opened the back, taking the bag. After she closed that door, I pulled out of the parking lot, and headed towards Olive Garden.
"I can't believe I'm late!" I cursed myself, as I stopped at a stop sign. Looking either way, seeing no cars, I push the gas, passing the street. Going down the road, I noticed my hair sticking up in the rearview mirror. I groaned taking my hand and tried to smooth it out, for the hairs to just ping back up again.
I groaned in paying trying it once again, looking back to the road I see a buck crossing the road, but a second to late. I hit the breaks, but I still ended up being jerked back and fourth as a loud bang rang through my ears. My head bounced off the back of my seat's head rest, a smashed against the steering wheel, the air bag going off.
I cursed under my breath, knowing bruises were goanna show with in at least the next thirty minutes. I reached over for my seat buckle, pushing down on the red button, hearing a satisfying click, as the strap was reeled back in it's place.
I reached for my door's handle, opening the door, before pulling myself out of the car. I groaned in frustration, watching the buck run off into the woods, my hand was on the hood on my car, as I used it for support. My legs, face, and arms ached in pain, as a headache began to surge through my head.
I sighed, reaching to my back pocket before realizing my phone was in the car somewhere. I cursed, before opening the back door, and looking under the seats, finding it's F/c cover shine as the rays of the sun hit it.
Reaching out for the object, I go to my contacts, before seeing Garroth's name, I clicked on it, hearing it begun to ring.
About three rings, and Garroth's voice came from the other end.
"Hello?"
"Garroth, it's me, Y/n. I can't make it to the date. I... I hit a deer, and well, I'm about fifteen miles from Olive Garden,"
"Are you alright! Are you hurt?! Wait! Don't answer! Save your strength! I'll be there is three! Stay strong!" Before I could answer, Garroth hung up the phone, making me laugh.
"All I did was hit a deer. The worst that could happen is a concussion and some bruises," I joked, to no but myself. laughing at the end. When no one answered, I looked around but instantly felt stupid.
"Maybe I got more then just a concussion,"
