NIGHT

cham...cham...cham!!!!

Sanskar covers his ears and again tried to speak but sound of anklets again disturbed him.sanskar curses hard and gets up.

sanskar again hears the voice and saw swara roaming here and there.he gritted his teeth and goes toward her.

"aap ka chalna sa ya awaz kaisi paaida ho rhe ha.....(what is this sound when you walk?)"sanskar asked in annoyed tone.

"ya hamari paazeeb ki awaz ha....kitni mudhar(melodious) ha na(this is sound of my anklet...such a melodious sound,isn't it)"swara said showing him her anklets by raising her lahenga with both hands.

"is mahnoos(cursed) awaz ki wajah sa hamari neend kharab ho gai ha....(because of this voice i am not able to sleep)"sanskar said angrily.

'apko neend nhe aa rhe is main hamari paazeeb ka kia kassor ha...(you are not getting sleeping what is my anklet's false)"swara asked confusingly.

'aap isko utaraen abhi ka abhi......(remove them right now)'sanskar ordered her.

'kun uttaren?....hum nhe uttaren ga.itni mushkil sa to mili ha...(why i should remove it?.....i will not remove it.i got it very hardly)' swara said making face.

'ap ko ya di kisna ha?.....ap na chori ki ha?....(who gave you this?....have you steal it)'sanskar looked at her with narrowed eyes.

'kaisi behoda batien karta han aap?....hum bhala apni cheez kun chori karen ga?.....wo jo aachi si khatoon soo rhe han.us na di ha......(what kind of rubbish talk you do?....why will i steel my own thing" swara said angrily,throwing daggers at him.

'kavita na ap ko di ha?....(kavita gave you this?)' sanskar asked in thoughtful tone.swara nodded her head vigorously.

'aap ja kar so jain...or mujah bhi so a dain....(please go and sleep and let me sleep also)' sanskar said in helpless tone.he can't even say anything to mad girl like her.

'apko kia lagta ha...humen shok ha is tarah ullu ki tarah jagna ka....neend nhe aa rhe humen.....(what you think?....i like to sat awake like owl....i am not getting sleep)"swara said sadly.

'aaj to hum parahdar sa bhi baatien nhe kar sakta....(today i can't even speak with soldier)"

"kun?...(why)" sanskar asked,gaining little interest in her talk.

'wo ankhen baari baari kar ka dakhta han...humen dar lagta ha.....(he looks at me with wide angry eyes.....i feels scared)"

Sanskar pressed his lips to hide smile,when swara mimics soldier by making her own eyes wide.

"ab humen neend ni aa rhe...uski wajah aa aap kun jaagan...aap jaa kar soo jain.hum ab nhe chalen ge....(i am not getting sleep,why should you stay awake....you go and sleep,i will not walk now)"swara said in soft tone,turned and walks toward soldier.sanskar looks down at her feet which was producing melodious sound whenever she steps on ground.

sanskar gets little angry when soldier looks ar swara angrily,seeing her coming close to him.swara gives him her sweetest smile and sit near fire.

"hum wada karta han...hum yahan chup karka bahta rahen ga....(i promise...i will sit quitely)"swara said,holding her neck between index finger and thumb.soldier smiled a little bur hides it perfectly.

sanskar went to his place again and closed his eyes but sleep was far away from his eyes.

'yahan kia kar rhe han aap....(what are you doing here?)' sanskar said with crossed arms.swara gives him tight smile.
