Indy took a deep breath as she walked to her locker at the end of the hall. As she passed she received stares from everyone. some good stares some shady ones. As she is putting her combination as a girl named Kaylen shows up wearing a (dingy)white crop top, dark blue jeans, Fenty slides with undone toes, and what looked like an orange wig. Kaylen never liked Indy but surely wanted Darrel. But Indy surely wasnt going to have that shit. Indy sat and watched Kaylen's lips move but didnt hear one word that came out. She surely couldnt focus with how much hot air was blowing out that mouth of hers. Indy snapped out of her trance once Kaylen said, "keep playing around with nigga and we finna have some problems".

Walking away Indy rolled her eyes and muttered "loose ass hoe" and walked into her first class. Just then her best friend Mia texted her:

M: Goood morning hoe

I: Hey boo

M: Did that bitch Karate say something to you yet? I will cut her

I: That's not her name Mia

M: Ohhhh its Kiwi right?

I: No bitch🤦🏾‍♀️

M: Kahoot?

I: Yo what? 💀

M: It gotta be Ketchup

I: omg its Kaylen for the 100th time 😂😂 but yea but Im not worried about it she a hoe anyways

M: I saw her earlier. Looking like a damn orangutan with that stiff ass weave. What she say now?

I: You had to peep those toes. She is disrespecting Rih Rih with them and I don't appreciate it 🤔 She told me to stay away from her boyfriend like I really want him. He ugly anyways

M: Facts 😂 Homebody got drool coming out the side of his mouth everyday

I: You so rude. But listen I got to go class about to start

M: Ok bye bae imma see ya fine ass after school😘

I: omg you're so gay 🤦🏾‍♀️. Bye hunny

Indy slipped her phone in her back pocket and sat at the back of the class. She made straight A's so paying attention wasnt an issue for her, even though she was always surrounded by ghetto kids. Ms. Collins walked in and sat down at her desk while saying "alright everyone turn in the homework and return your attention back to me" like somebody would do it. After everything was settled down, she spoke again saying "we have a new student with us this school year. His name is Avery Stokes. The door opened, and everybody turned their attention to the front if the class, even Indy. She was tall for the average size, with smooth dark skin and medium curly hair stuffed under a Nike hat, with a thrashers hoodie, blue, and some black and red 12's. She walked through the door rudely saying, "I told you I wasnt a boy" rolling her eyes in the process. Ms. Collins "well excuse MS Stokes, but I deserve some respect" Avery just walked past her and sat in the open seat in to Indy. Sitting down, Avery muttered "you need some dick, so you can hop off mines". Indy shook her head but said nothing and continued doing her work.

(45 minutes go by)

The bell rung, and Indy stuffed her books inside her book bag and mad her way to the door. Ms. Collins appeared in front of her and said "Im giving your responsibility to show Avery around to her classes, Ms.Green. Nobody else will take the offer". Indy gave her a fake smile and agreed.

For the rest of the day, Avery followed her around like a lost puppy. Everywhere they went, Avery would ask dumb questions and have too much of a smart mouth. Indy couldnt wait to get away from her. She didn't have time to be someones personal tour guide unless somebody was gonna lay some money in her hand. The bell for the last class finally rang. School was out for the weekend. Walking out of the building, Indy waited for D to pull up. 20 minutes pass by and still no sign. She pulls out her phone and texts him:

I: wya?

I: answer the damn phone

I: nigga its cold out here🙄

I: imma bop you smooth in ya head when I see you 😐

Still no reply. She decided to wait 5 more minutes before starting the walk home. Just then, Avery comes out of the double doors heading for the parking lot.

Avery turns and locks eyes with and smirked. Indy rolled her eye and pretended she wasnt there. Avery looked around and saw no car coming or going. Before she could get the first word out, Indy interrupted with "no I don't want a ride. I can walk". Avery chuckled and replied, "it's too cold for a fine sis like yaself to be walking home". Avery looked at her dumb founded. She got her all the way turnt.

Avery blurted "you must be mistaken. I aint into all that gay shit SO don't come out ya neck like that". Just then, Darrell pulled up honking the horn. Avery smirked again and said, "you'd be surprised about yourself". Indy rolled her eyes once again before muttering "yea whatever" under her breath before sliding into the front seat.
