With Oceans raging and storms rumbling
We often find ourselves on a boat or ship
But we forgot one thing
We can't swim
The life jackets won't help 'cause there are too many people that need to be saved
So often times we find ourselves sinking to the ocean floor with one thought
If only I learnt to swim
But it'd be too late thenWith fires and flames
We often find ourselves lighting a fire
But we forgot one thing
We don't know how to put it out
The firefighters are faraway 'cause they
are helping your neighbor down the road
So often we find ourselves alone and burning
to death with one thought on our minds
If only I never played with fire
But it'd be too late thenWith bad people lurking around
We often find ourselves kidnapped
But we forget one rule that was never meant to be broken
Don't go out when it's dark
So we find ourselves victim to all manner of abuse
And we suffer with one thought on our minds
If only I listened
But it'd be too late thenWith gases and mining and all evil done to earth
Later we'll find ourselves crying or dying
But we forgot one thing
They warned us beforehand
But it'd be too late thenSo I urge you to take action
To swim
To learn
To listen
And to save this planet we call Mother Earth~ Tryphine Zvikomborero Nota a.k.a Tryzergirl
