" So he was last sighted last night, in a pub?" Lenna jotted notes down on to her pad. She had been called in to the police station to take notes about a boy who disappeared. She was the famous child detective.
"Yes, with his dad," The police office, Gary, handed Lenna a file about the boy. His name was Gerran Walker.
"Hmm, I'll have to sleep on it, most of the cases I've solved came to me in my dreams." She paused "That sounded better in my head,"
"It sure did," Gary motioned for Lenna to leave "Come back tomorrow,"
Lenna got up from the hard chair and headed towards the door. She didn't really have anywhere to go. She was 11, and she lived in a care home. Maybe she could go round a friends house? Nah, she thought, I don't have any friends.
"Lenna?"
"Yeah?"
"I said you could leave,"
"Oh, yeah," Lenna quickly pushed open the door and hurried out. She decided to go back to the home- after all, she did live there. On the way back, she heard a strange, groaning, wheezing sound. It scared Lenna a little but she dismissed it and carried on walking.
What she didn't know, was that the sound would change her life.
