Isn't it all quite funny

to find yourself where you we're last truly happy

a place filled with unrivaled memories

from which our dreams we tried to seize

Where we promised to stay together

But in the end, Promises never last forever.

Everything feels so nostalgic, To the old wooden fences on the side of the road, The colorful houses, And most of all the sunset while the sea reflects the colorful hues of the vanishing light. I can't believe it's been five years ever since I left Cape may on a hurry and back then I promised myself I'd never come back.

But here I am, On a bus driving towards Cape may. The city where I broke my heart.

"Now approaching the Cape may bus stop" The voice said as the bus started to move slower and all together stopped. I picked up my stuff and got out, and immediately after I got down. the bus left, And I was all alone there on that bus stop. I felt the ocean breeze on my face, and after so long I saw the sun set on Cape may again.

"I've missed this place". I told myself as I properly wore my back pack then started walking down to the small houses on the beach. As I walk down the first thing I saw was a huge sign on hanging on one of the beautifully colored houses.

"Coffee tyme on the beach"

With each step I take, the aroma of brewing coffee fills the air around me. It enraptures Me, it fills my mind with so much memories of time I let pass while I spent idly by in that brewery. Drinking my favorite blend of coffee as I watched the sunset or rather my eyes were never really on the view but something else.

As I made it into the entrance, I slowly opened the light colored birch door. The wind chimes play a soothing tune, announcing a new costumer has arrived.

"Welcome to the coffee tyme by the beach, please take a seat and have a look at our menu for anything of your liking" I heard the girl by the counter say as I walked in.

I took a good look at the place, A lot has changed. The brewery had a lot more in store now than it did 5 years ago, Better wood furniture, greater designs and cute little knick knacks adorned the once ocean blue wall papers, But most of all the larger amount of pastries you can try along with your choice of brewed coffee.

Everything has changed but the environment feel of the place, was still it's loving and accepting same.

I chose to sit where I had usually sat every time I came here years ago, the table with a single chair at the end of the room besides the large window over looking the beach. As I grabbed the chair to sit myself.

The girl on the counter then approaches me with a small notepad.

"Anything of your to liking?" She asks me. "I'll have lemon curd cookies and a medium cup espresso" I answered Her, But she looked at me with a questioning expression and said "I'm sorry we never had lemon curd or I had the chance to serve considering I just started managing the store a year ago. Maybe you'd like a custard pudding instead?" . "ow, I used to order that a lot but sure a custard would do" I answered her. The absence of my..our favorite pastry made all the hidden memories pour back down to me again.
