Chapter 2

Y/n pov

As I walk back into the house I look at her. "Do we have any information on her?" I ask looking around at everyone.  A guy little younger than Danny pipes up. "H-her name was Veronica." he said his voice a little shaky. Danny puts his arm around him. That's not like Danny he must be very close to him. "It's ok Jamie." OMG how did I not know that was Jamie. "oh Jamie did you know her" I said "Y-yea she was my-" he starts balling. "sorry you don't have to talk if you don't want to." Danny looks at me for help. I give Jamie a hug as my vest gets soaked with tears but I didn't care. I notice that Danny shoots daggers at Jamie.

Dannys pov

I'm mad at Jamie. I don't know why tho. I walk off needing to cool off. I hear footsteps behind me. "What?" I ask kinda pissed. I hear Y/ns voice. "Danny what's wrong?" concern filled her voice. "just go back to you boyfriend!" oh shit did I just say that. She just stares at me. "What I was just comforting him. Danny, Jamie just lost his girlfriend and you think that I'm gonna take advantage of him. What the hell is wrong with you!" and with that she storms off. Damn it Danny you just blew your shot with her.

Y/n pov

I run away crying. What would o think that Danny likes me. He just sees me as his partner. He could replace me at any give moment. We drive back in silence until Danny speaks up. "Hey y/n" "what" I snap back. Danny kinda flinches but brushes it off. "I'm sorry. I never meant any of those things I said. Please forgive me y/n." I think for a moment. We both get out of the car. I run up and hug him. Danny chuckles " I'll take that as a yes." god his laugh is just like the rest of him perfect.

Y/n pov still

Danny invites me over for Sunday dinner. I knock on the front door seeing commissioner Reagan. "as you were" he says with a slight chuckle. "Commissioner Reagan how are you sir." "please call me Frank off duty." "Ok comm- Frank" Danny rushes to the door. "Hey y/n" "Hey Danny." "Y/n there is something I need to tell you." I notice Danny blushing. "Uh ok" I say. Danny leads me to a to a room. Just me and Danny. Danny gets really close to me to where I feel his breath against my face. "Y/n we've know each other for a long time and I have always he'd feelings for you I'm just now had enough courage to ask you this but. Y/n L/n will you be my girlfriend?" I kiss Danny right then and there. The man I have always loved loves me back. We walk back hand in hand. I ask Frank. "Hey Frank." "Yes y/n" "I understand its against the rules but could you please bend them for me and Dan-" Danny interjects " Dad please will you let Y/n and I date. Dad I love her with all my heart." Frank sits and stares at us for a minute. "As long as it doesn't get in the way of your work." With that Danny plants a kiss on the top of your head.
