they cast dark shadows
all around.
droplets fall slowly at first,
until eventually
the rain batters every thing
m e r c i l e s s l y
the dampness seeps through
my clothes
my skin
until im chilled to the very
b o n e
.. i'm trapped
you arrive
your presense similar to
weak rays of sunshine
forcing their way out from behind
forcing them to part
forcing them to disperse.
i can feel the warmth
it absorbs the damp
it replaces the chill.
and the clear sky stretches on
