A golden bird hides her shine beneath dulling autumn feathers,
Her heart so brave but so tormented,
A world so cruel she has entered,
Untouchable the mocking Eagle laughs as her soul weathers.
But on she flies with a broken wing,
With sharpened notes she begins to sing.
Although she hurts, she will always soar,
It is from her tears that she is more.
This golden phoenix whom I adore
is stronger now her heart is torn.
