A Living Nightmare

Chapter 11: The expedition

Rebecca's POV

Fucking finally did those sexist males let us go on an expedition!! I was so fed up with just staying here not doing anything! I just want to punch something!!!

Jasmine and I walked towards the room we shared. I'm angry but worried as well. Did we honestly just lose a friend?

"Jasmine.. Do you really think Jade will be gone forever?"

"I'm hoping she won't. Don't worry, Anthony will bring her back."

"You can't just bring someone back from the dead! If she was dying but still ALIVE! I would believe she'll be fine but she's DEAD Jasmine!"

"Don't worry Becca. We're going on an important expedition. Keep your mind on staying alive. Jacob said we might be able to find the person who killed her alright? You need to keep all that strength in for now."

I sighed softly, "Yeah I suppose you're right.."

I laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling. I put my hands behind my head and sighed once more. Tomorrow will be the first time going out there. I'll get to finally see how it's like over there. So far, the only feedback I've seen is horrible. Jacob and Anthony seem to be the only ones leaving and coming back. They probably already know many things that we probably don't. They know first hand how bad it's out there.

I refuse to admit it out loud but I'm actually glad we got stuck with those two. They seem to know survival a lot and if they weren't here we would all probably died on day one.

"Rebecca go to sleep.", I heard Jasmine mumble.

I turned my back to her and attempted to sleep.

"Wake up you two. You're holding us back. "

I was awoken by the sound of an impatient asshole. I slowly opened my eyes and glared at the owner of the voice. Jacob was leaning behind the wall and was staring at us. He was holding two backpacks and threw them at us. It hit my stomach and I groaned softly.

I glared at him and saw a slight pleased smirk on him. I growled loudly. Why that stupid punk! He enjoyed that didn't he!?!

"Sorry Jacob we won't waste anytime.", Jasmine apologized for the both of us.

"Of course you won't. Hurry the fuck up we're waiting.", The asshole said before walking out.

I'm seriously pissed off. This guy thinks he can boss us around!?! I am so going to kick his fucking ass! That little punk!! I punched the pillow and got up angrily.

"Rebecca, calm down. He is more experienced and he's older we can't disobey orders. If you don't you'll get us all killed."

"Listening to him is like admitting defeat."

"Well you better admit defeat or we are all going to end up like Jade."

I groaned and put my shoes on. She's right, I'll have to listen to that fucker's orders or else we'll all die. Both of us walked out with her backpacks and met up with the boys.

"About fucking time.", one of the newbies said.

I glared at him. Who does this asshole think he is!?

"Don't fight. So let's go on with the plan.", Jacob impatiently said.

We all nodded as he took out a drawn map.
