"Honey, I'm going to be gone for the week." My Mom said. Grabbing her duffel bag and purse.
"Business trip?" I asked. "Yeah." She said. "You had one last week, and the week before that." I complained. She's always on business trips, we never spend time together! She has her own fashion line, so she's always working. "Sorry, but I have to go now!" she said grabbing her keys and opening the door, "Don't throw any parties, keep the house clean, love you, bye." She said, then left.
I miss the old her back in Tennessee. I don't miss Tennessee though. She used to smile all of the time, let her long, blonde hair fall, let her freckles show and barely wear makeup. She was a cool mom, a mom that was always laid back and barely even stressed. She used to love being around family. When we moved here she left something behind,
Love.
She's a workaholic, she works 24/7 and she loves it. Work is probably the only thing she loves. Sometimes, I feel like she doesn't even love me.

I invited some of my friends over today. Brooklyn, Emily, Abby, and Erin. "Did you see Megan's outfit today?" Emily said. "Oh my God, it was hideous!" Abby replied back. "Like, who even wears plaid these days?" I said. "I bet it was as hideous as her face!" Erin laughed. We all joined in.
We're kind of the "Preppy" girls in our school. We're not the preppiest ones, but we are known as the Preppy girls.
"So, are you all going to the party at Jackson's house?" Emily asked.
"When is it?" I asked. "The Last day of school!" Emily said. "I'm just going to sneak out, my Parents would never let me go." Erin said. "I'm going with Emily!" Brooklyn said. "I'm going with Caleb!" Abby squealed.
"My Mom is probably going to be gone, so count me in." I said. It would be a great idea to end my Senior year. Plus, if I don't go people will make fun of me.
"Macy, it's MANDATORY that you come to the party, because I heard that Jackson has a "thing" for you!" Emily squealed.
I don't really like Jackson, but he's cute. "Okay, what are we going to wear?" I asked. "Well, Jackson said just wear something casual." Emily announced.
We were all sprawled out on my bed on our phones.
"Do you think I'd look good with Derek?" Erin said. Emily looked at the ceiling and hummed. "No," she said looking back at her phone, "I think Brooklyn would." Emily said. Brooklyn started giggling and blushing.
Emily can be a snotty person sometimes, but other times she is a good friend.
"Oh my God, Caleb just asked me if I could go on a date with him tomorrow after school!" Abby squealed fanning her face with her right hand and holding her phone in the other. "He texted me and told me to meet him at the movies tomorrow after school and to wear something sexy!" Abby told us.
Honestly, Caleb is a Man-Whore.
He's friends with Jackson too. I don't really know Jackson that well, so i don't know if he's like Caleb. I'll just have to find out.
"Macy we should totally throw a party here!" Emily suggested.
"We're going to a party on Saturday, why should we throw a party here?" I asked.
"C'mon, we're all bored," she said throwing her hands up. "it will be fun!" She said poking me in the ribs.
"Fine, but no more than 15 people," I said. "and y'all are helping me clean up." I said, getting chips and soda out of the cabinets for the party.
"Yay!" Emily squealed, getting out her phone to invite people.
