Up All Night (One Direction Fanfic)

up all night- chapter eight

Shelby's POV:

The night was long, and before midnight, the icecream was already gone. Neither of us really talked though because I think we had too much to think about.  It was a night I would have to repeat many times if Niall and  I were going to continue dating and I knew it wasn't going to get easier.

Days passed and nothing changed. Mikenna and I moped around the same way we did the night they left. We read their tweets, texted them occasaionally, and watched their interviews on YouTube. It made us miss them more but made us feel a little closer to them. We talked to Danielle, Eleanor, and Perrie quite a lot, since they were going through the same things we were and it helped hearing them reassure us that everything was okay.

After weeks of being at home by myself, Niall finally called me when he had time. I answered the phone excitedly and died a little after hearing his voice talking directly to me for the first time in about a week.

"Hey baby!" he said, just as excited as I was.

"What are you doing?"

"I just have some free time and I have been thinking about you non-stop," he admitted.

"I know how you feel. How's everything going?"

"Great, we just played in California and now we are headed to Texas. I wish you were here."

"I do too. But I'm happy I just get to hear your voice again!" I giggled a little. We talked for about 20 minutes and then he told me he had to go pack for Texas. I just wanted to be with him again and hearing his voice made me miss him so much more. He texted me when he arrived and told me he would call me again the first chance he got, but that wasn't until about four days later. I didn't expect him to always be able to talk to me and I couldn't really blame him for not having time, it just sucked.

Mikienna's POV:

A couple days passed and we skyped, texted and talked on the phone. We only got about five minutes to talk but thats all I really needed. I understood that he was busy so I didn't make a fuss about not getting to talk to him that much, but I did miss him a lot.

Seeing him through skype was the next best thing to seeing him in person. At least this way I could see his gorgeous smile and hear him tell me he missed me at the same time.  We had skype dates about once a week and it made my night.

Occasionally I got text from him saying "miss you baby. xx." They were sweet and what I needed to get me through the day. One night I recieved the picture of us kissing. I knew he was thinking of me which made me feel better.

At first the hours were long, which turned into nights, then days, and eventually weeks passed without Harry. It was tough, but I had my new friends to help me get though it. I eventually got to the point where I didn't just want to sit at home. I wanted to go make memories so then I would have a lot to tell Harry when he got back. Don't get me wrong, I wish the memories I was making, involved him but I had to make the best of the situation until he did return.

When I was on the phone with Harry one night, he told me that they would have a weekend off in Wisconsin coming up in two more weeks. I immidiately called Shelby to tell her this exciting news. We had a sleepover that night and planned a huge suprise trip. Our plan was to tell them we couldn't because our mom's were throwing a huge dinner for their work that weekend and it was extremely important that we attend. The boys were very upset and it made us feel bad about lying but we figured the look on their faces when they saw us would make up for it. We were both really excited to drive to see them and hoped our plan would be perfectly executed.

We counted down the days until our trip and it seemed like it took forever. Finally the day before, Shelby and I went shopping to get snacks for the car ride, and new clothes to really wow our men. We were both so excited that the stuff we were saying didn't even make sence. We decided to drive Shelby's car to Wisconsin since it is bigger. She drives a black CR-V which will be very comfortable for the eight hour drive that we had ahead of us. We left a day before they were going to be there just so we could get situated in our hotel and we would have to worry about waking up really early in the morning to get there at a certain time. It was hard for us to go to sleep that night but we forced ourselves to anyways.
