All this is depressing and sad and angst so fair warning nekkfdmks
--------------

Wind rushing past me. Sticks and leaves slashing against my limbs. Sky as dark as ever. Moon shining down on me without a hint of mercy. Out of breath. Strength draining as I prepare myself mentally. Suddenly I come to a halt.

I'm here.

There are cuts and bruises everywhere on me, sadly not just from the dash. I don't care anymore. I've reached the river. I pick up a wooden box that I'd left there a few days back, hidden within a hollow tree along the edge of the speeding river. Inside I find what I'd hidden as I'd left it. I take
the long, straw texture like rope and tie it on a branch that sits above a tree's root where I stand.

As I prepare it I think of everything I've been through for these past years of my existence. I think back to 8 years ago, back when I first thought of this, and almost went through with it. If it hadn't been for that boy my age that wandered through the dark forest. If he hadn't found this, heartbroken and alone, girl that believed she was destined to do this.
Then she wouldn't have believed what would happen in the future.

But now he couldn't save her like he had all those years ago. He wasn't there to comfort her and tell her everything was going to be okay. That people cared about her and that she wasn't alone. That boy was gone. Never to come back. Never to tell her she doesn't need to do this. Never to dream, for he's only in her nightmares. Never to bring light back to this world of darkness.

It was too late.

She secured the rope tight and stepped on the root. She put the rope around her neck. She would soon be back with that boy that was taken from her. She won't be alone anymore. The pain will cease. And soon she'll be where she belongs. No more abuse from her father. No more bullying from everyone at school. No more.

She had her last thought.
Her last memory.
Her last breath.
And she fell in a never ending slumber.
