Part 1

June 10

On the edge, that's where I was. I was waiting for the bomb to drop, the silence suffocated me.

"Hope?" I couldn't process anything, it was all white. "Hope, what happened. Talk to me," he pushed. I could barely breathe, "Matt, we need to go home." He didn't question me, he grabbed our things and guided me back to his car.

"What happened? Is somebody hurt?" he asked. I stared at my hands, fiddling with my fingers. "I don't know," I mumbled. Fear was rushing through my body, I couldn't move.

Is this what death feels like?

The drive home seemed a lot faster, I tried calling the guys but no one answered. The cameras back home were deactivated, it worried me even more. Why aren't they answering? Why aren't the cameras working? Please be okay.

Speeding, I'm going to fucking die before I even get there. "Matt, I'm scared," I tremble. He gives a weary smile, squeezing my hand. "It's going to be okay. It's the guys we're talking about here," he explained.

I hoped he was right. God knows what I'd do if something happened to them.

Destruction and chaos. There were some people on the lawn, Stormy was barking like a maniac. Matt came to my side as we cautiously walked to the door. I turned around just as the glass window shattered, the exact moment the storm arrived. I was frozen, everything moved like molasses. That moment still haunts me at night.

Adrian falling straight onto Matt's car. The crash echoed in my mind. It's a dream. It's all a dream, I'll wake up and Adrian will be getting breakfast ready for us. A fresh cup of coffee will be waiting for me. Please be a dream.

I stared as his face fell to my side. A smile visible just for a second or two. Blood pouring down his face. I've told everyone that he smiled at me but no one believed me, they said that he was brain dead the moment he hit the car. They said I was in shock.

Adrian, time of death 4:27 PM

Realization finally hit me, I tried running to his side but I was held back. "You should have thought twice before killing our men." I shook with anger and fear for my friends. "Aw, is the little girl going to cry?" I take a shaky breath in slowly pulling out the switchblade I hid in the shorts I changed into. "Are you going to kill me too?" I quivered with a small voice. Acting. "Not yet-"

I elbowed my capture, twisting around and swinging the blade and effortlessly creating a gash on their arms. "You should have thought twice before killing him," I threaten coldly. I take a good look at the woman before me. Gorgeous. That's all I have to say to describe her. Amber hair, vibrant green eyes, and a very well built body. A black mask covering the bottom half of her face but I could easily tell who she was. The tattoo on her face could easily help me tell who she is.

"So where's your other rat siblings, Jessica?" She winces, carefully holding her arm. "Jullissa is taking care of your boyfriend over there. Dexter is upstairs taking care of the other two, I was left with your weak ass," she growled. I chuckle dryly.

"Yeah keep talking like my 'weak ass' didn't just cut open 2 of the 4 arteries in your arm." She glares at me, as if that shit's gonna scare me. "Fight me whore." I smile happily charging towards her. Just like in training with... Adrian.

Forehand strike, a quick horizontal strike with the knife. Roundhouse, a kick the opposite way your knife was going. I missed the strike with my knife but I kicked her pretty hard in the ribs. She rebounded and countered with a strike to my arm making me drop my knife somewhere. We circled each other until she was in the position where I was, I went again . Right, left, and under. I landed another 2 punches before she blocked and countered, a quick jab right below my sternum.
