Chapter 4

NASHS POV~

Cam turned and ran up the stairs. Tess was being comforted by jacob so i went and chased him.

"CAM!" i yelled running up the stairs two at a time.

The door to his bedroom shut right before I got in.

I banged on the door.

"Cam, your being ridiculous" I said leaning against the door.

He didn't answer.

"You know she loves you" I said.

Finally, he opened the door.

"Nash, I'm not being ridiculous. Tess had a nightmare and won't even come to HER OWN FATHER for comfort! She goes to jacob! She had a NIGHTMARE about me! Why should I not be upset" he said.

I just hugged him.

After about five minutes, we pulled apart.

"Thanks. I needed that" he said smiling.

We walked down the stairs to where everyone was sitting.

Mahogany was sitting next to jacob rubbing tess' back.

Tess was sitting on jacob so her back was facing away and his chest was facing his. Her head was resting on his shoulder.

Jacobs arms were wrapped around her.

Jason, (JOX son) was sitting on the other side of jacob with hayes and making her laugh. It made me smile.

Jason and tess always were really close friends and I honestly wish they would date. If I was a girl, I'd be crushing on jason. He looked like his dad and his mom mixed into one.

He had dark brown hair and brown eyes like jacob and mahoganys light skin. He also had Jacobs smile.

Cameron tripped on the last step on the stairs making everyone go silent and look at us.

We smiled. Tess just stared while everyone else smiled.

I walked over and talked to jacob.

Hayes took tess into his arms so we could talk. I just wanted to see if he heard anything from her.

Camerons pov-

My heart dropped at the sight of tess being comforted by everyone but me.

She sat facing hayes and smiling at something jason said. They were so close.

Jason gave me a head nod to come over.

I was taking directions from a 14 year old. Jeez..

Tess looked at me with hurt.

The second i sat down on the couch, her eyes filled with tears.

"Let's go upstairs so we can talk in private" hayes said moving her hair out of her wet face.

Tess whispered something to hayes. Hayes nodded in response. I think she asked if he would stay with them but I'm not sure.

Hayes carried her up the stairs into her room while I followed close behind.

Hayes and tess sat on the bed and I sat next to them.

It was silent as I watched tess' tears fall.

"Love, you know that dream will NEVER come true" I said hopefully.

She looked up at me.

"You know i love you" I said. She nodded.

After about five minutes of hayes shushing her quietly, she crawled into my arms sobbing.

I started crying to as I clutched her close to me. I played with her hair shushing her quietly.

She pulled away and said "i love you daddy Dallas"
