Dark, damp, and incredibly cramped! When it was finally time to hatch, Miho busted out of the egg in seconds, prepared to take on the world with no hesitation.

The first thing she saw with her eyes was her master's happy face. It caused her to leap into his arms, excited and overjoyed she could already make someone smile in such a way. The hug lasted only a second before Miho was already distracted, her attention elsewhere.

As Miho looked at their surroundings she realized they were aboard an airship. It was very vast and pleasant, lit with the gold light of the sun.

"Welcome to the airship, Miho," her master said welcomingly.

However, Crayol was only talking to himself. Miho had already dashed several yards across the grass field of the airship, twirling and throwing herself about. A couple other of Crayol's astromon who were scattered around stared, some amused, some annoyed.

A few hours later, after Crayol had introduced himself and the other astromons, as well as giving her a small tour of the airship, he went to get the astromons' dinner prepared. Meanwhile, Miho continued her exploration of the airship.

Her curiosity took Miho to the more secluded back of the mill. There was a small garden growing a couple of different kinds of plants, such as herbs and mushrooms.

One particular species of mushroom caught Miho's eye. It was very appealing, the colors blue, purple, and pink in a tie-dye design on the mushroom's top. The way the colors swirled was mesmerizing. Miho sat on her knees in front of it, staring intensely. She then leaned forward, plucking it from the ground and analyzing it in her hands. It smelled sweet, similar to that of honey.

She felt a sudden rumble in her stomach, tempting her to eat.

"Master is taking a while to prepare the food. It couldn't hurt to have an early snack," Miho thought to herself, leaning in for a bite.

"MIHO, STOP!" screamed a voice that startled her into dropping the mushroom.

Miho looked up to see her master sprinting towards her, slightly blurry from the surprised tears in her eyes.

"Sorry to startle you," he said as he arrived, out of breath, in front of her, "but I couldn't let you eat that, it's a poisonous mushroom. We grow them here to create antidotes for the poison that other astromon frequently use in battle."

"Astromon can poison people?" Miho yipped enthusiastically, completely forgetting the predicament she was almost in, "Can I poison people?"

Crayol looked startled for a moment before breaking out into a laugh, "I don't know yet, Miho. We will have to find that out when you begin your training."

Before he even finished his sentence, Miho darted towards the front of the mill where the other astromons were eating.

"I'll poison you all!" she shouted at the entire airship, "I'll be the strongest to protect master!"

Most of the astromon laughed at this remark, all except for one, whose fur was ruffled in irritation.

Crayol chuckled again, "Well if you want to be strong you need to eat, so let's get some food!"
