Hey..okay so this is my first book on wattpad after the first few chapters I would like to know if I should continue writing this book. Well anyways on with the book (:hope you like it》

                             ~~~~~~
Here I am. A week after my mother's death in  an airport in Pasadena, CA. Of course with the little money I ever had, I pack lightly. With my dad bailing on my mom and I when I was 2 and dying when I was 14..my mom's cousin  Gabrielle was the only one the child services place would send me to..considering the only other family I have lives in Mexico. Well I'm just waiting here looking at the school handbook for Gabrielino High school. This sucks. Being a new kid has never been good for me. Let's just say I don't have a good look for first impressions. I'm a tomboy and I go no where without my board. So ya I have the "future jail applicant" look on me which I can't say is a complete lie.
"Hey you Lux Fuentes? ", some female voice is all I hear before I look up...to confirm that it is a female talking to me.
"Uh ya...have we met or something cuz I'm pretty sure I don't know you.", it was all I could think to say..I mean it's not everyday someone comes up to me knowing my name..oh wait..I'm in Pasadena...which means this is probably Gabriella..ok whoops.
"Uh I mean..ya..sorry are you Gabriella Fuentes?"ok..good. Fixed that.
"Ya that's me. Now come on, let's go grab your shit we gotta leave ima be late to my interview...and if that happens...that means dinner will be two days late to the table.", eh..I can live with this..she seems chill and not to "but the outside world is dangerous" or "your worthless so go clean the entire fucking house"..ya ok.
"ya, ya whatever I already got my stuff. One question. Is there a skatepark by the house?"
"ya its around the corner. so I expect that I won't have to drive you to school after all?"
"ha! no. not as long as I got my baby", I tell her as I hold up my board.
"so what kind of name is Lux anyways? I've never met anyone with that kind of name.", wow..first time I've ever been asked that..hah I guess no one's ever had the balls to ask me then.
"All I know is that it's on my  birth certificate and it means light."
"hmm..ya it don't fit you that's fo sure.", straightforward much.
"Ya..I know."
     What the hell am I looking at. OK so I'm guessing it's her car..but damn it's ugly..I'm glad she won't be driving me to school. Great. Here I am shoving bags into the trunk of an old Fiat Uno that reeks of dust and rotting newspaper...If it's possible for newspaper to rot.
"Ok look. I know this car is not what anyone is looking forward to. But this old banger has been holding on for almost 12 years..so don't complain. At least I got a car"
"Man you did not just refer to your car as an old banger."
"Don't judge my choice of words"
"Who said I was?"
"I ain't no dipshit..I understand your teenage language. .I spoke it not to long ago."
"ok whatever"
"Mhm..ya just get in."
        Amazing. And there sits a newspaper full of job ads drowning in highlighter ink. Ya great choice child service people! Please do note my sarcasm.
"Ok drive fast I want to unpack as soon as I can.", the sooner I unpack, the sooner I can scope out the neighborhood and get to know the place, compare it to my old one, and as a plus..check out around the corner where that skatepark is.
"You start school tomorrow just so you know."
" What!? Really I just got here! Don't I get like a week to settle in!?", I have made my decision this woman is crazy! She can't really be serious here. I mean I have like 12 hours until I start a whole new school and I just moved from Florida. She can't expect me to just be up and ready for this.
"I'm being serious--"
ugh no why
"--you've already missed a week at your old school--",
so what's one more,
"--and the curriculum is completely different--",
so I can catch up easy
"--and you need to start meeting people so your not a complete loner."
"Ugh! OK fine you have a point with that last one."
"I know. Anyways we are here so get out and grab your stuff I'll see in an hour give or take."
"How classy. Kick your pretty much kid out of the car the first day you meet her."
"ha you think your funny. your room is the one with the whole in the top of the door..don't ask."
"umm..ok then bye I guess."
"ya ok see ya"
     Ok. Here goes nothing. So far this neighborhood is alot like my old one. Teens walking around looking like thugs. Graffiti all over the streets, houses, ya everything. Loud music. And of course the no shame yelling between a suffering couple a few houses down. Nothing new. I guess I'll go inside. OK then not what I was guessing...but this place is livable and I didn't notice an unrecognizable odor at all. Well except spray paint..which is recognizable. And there's my door..along with the hole that is full of questions...that I can't ask. And the room is about the same size as my old one, but I have a walking closet. There's a mattress on the ground with bedding themed with old comic strip and a desk on the other wall with a small lamp. It's black walls and concrete flooring. Small, but it's only a room..it's not like I'm going to have a party in here. We'll I'm to tired to unpack so I'll just put my bag on the ground and finally...oh so beautiful..SLEEP.
