Prologue

Colby's POV

"Sam do we have to go back?" I whispered as we walked down the path to get under suicide bridge.
"Yeah." He shrugged.
"Don't worry we brought a cross for demons and vampires." Elton said holding it up.

Yeah 3 years ago, the world had a massive breakout. That breakout, was vampires.

As me, Elton, Corey, Sam, Brennen, and Heath all made our way to the bottom, i started to feel weird.
When we reached the bottom I got an Erie feeling.
"Let's just set up the cameras and play the Ouija and go to bed." I said.
Everyone gave me confused glances.
"Colby. Are you okay? Usually your all for this." Brennen said.
"Y-Yeah..." I said looking at my shoes.

I hated this feeling.
Something bad was going to happen, I could tell.

We quickly set up the cameras and got started on the board.
"Are there any spirits here with us?" Elton asked.
My neck began to sting.
I got super anxious.

People say your neck stings when a vampire has its eyes on you. And not in a good way.

I wasn't even paying attention. Apparently the board said something about dying and everyone was freaking out cause I was spaced out and not answering.
"Can we just go to bed?" I asked.
"Yeah...um let's go to bed." Sam said keeping a worried eye on me.

As I wrapped myself in my blankets, i felt the same Erie feeling i had earlier. I looked to my right and saw Sam quickly closing his eyes, trying to play off the fact that he was keeping an eye on me. I chuckled to myself knowing i would've done the same thing.

I closed my eyes slowly letting the Erie feeling leave and sleep take over my body.

(???? POV)
I saw as Colby went to sleep. He laid down in a position where his neck was exposed. Perfect! I went to his side of people sleeping because i had to be sneaky in order to bite him.

As i was getting ready the blind next to him stirred.
I wasted no time.
I sunk my teeth deep in the vein on his neck.
Sipping blood as I put venom in his system.
His eyes shot open.
Going from red to blue to black.
He began to scream.
His friends woke up in a panic.
"GET OFF!" One of them screamed attempting to rip me off Colby.
But I wasn't done yet.
Vampires are going extinct.
We need more.
Colby will be one.
Even if it's the last thing I do.

As the last drop of my venom went into his blood stream his body fell flat.
His friends pulling at my shoulders and feet trying to drag me off my meal.
Nothing was working.

Until I felt a burn on my back.

I released from his neck screaming in pain.
The pain faded to a slight burn.
I looked back to see the blond holding a cross.
I hissed and disappeared into the woods.

(Sam's POV)

I looked down at Colby and saw his lifeless looking body on the ground, tears escaping my eyes. And since I knew Colby was going to be a vampire I knew I couldn't bring him to a hospital. "Guys we have to take him home, we cant risk exposing him as a vampire, if we took him to a hospital", I said. "Yeah", everyone agreed. So with that everyone packed their stuff and I packed Colby's stuff. It was like 1:35 A.M, so I knew that there wasn't gonna be any big traffic going on.

I ran through the house door and put Colby on the couch as the others got his stuff and their stuff inside the house. I heard Colby mumbling "no leave them alone", and "no back off", but that was in a growl I never would've thought I would hear from him.

As he stayed mumbling and growling, i went to the bathroom and went to take a shower so my mind could ease off things.

After the shower, I walked in my room, put some clothes on, and went to the living room. When I came down I saw Colby looking at me with hungry red blood eyes. "Colby think about what your doing", i said, obviously sounding scared. Colby inched his way toward me, getting more hungrier with each step until, I heard a BONG and Colby fell to the floor. I realized Corey took a frying pan and hit him in the head causing him to black out.
"Corey, WTF!!", i said sounding half relieved and half annoyed. "What?! He was going to bite you, and i don't really need two vampire friends right now!", he said being a usual big baby. I agreed and put Colby back on the couch.

I waited and waited for Colby hours until he woke up, screaming. "Colby, Colby, Your okay". I said, trying to reassure him he was okay. "What happened, why does my body hurt". Colby said with tears in his eyes. "I-You". I couldn't even explain to him what happened so i just said straight off the bat. "Your a vampire, Colby, A vampire". I said trying not to cry as he started crying.

(Colby POV)
Im a vampire?, I thought right when I broke down. Why me, I thoughts as I was crying. I could hear Sam trying to calm me down but nothing was working. "Colby?". Sam said with concern and fear in his voice. I realized that my eyes had turn blood red. "What is this, Sam?". I said, obviously freaked out. "Are you hungry". Sam said. Why would he ask that question obviously i am, I thought. "Yeah, why?". I said. "Because you need to feed". Sam said sad pulling up his sleeve. "Woah, im not biting you". I said scared but hungry at the same time. I could feel my eyes going red than normal a few times. "Come on Colby, you might die, if you don't, I mean your already looking dead....".
"I am dead, Sam". I snapped.
"Just do it, i don't want to walk around knowing that your hungry". Sam said trying to prove a point and to be honest he convinced me.
I took a big gulp and looked into his eyes, he nodded and i felt my fangs coming out of my mouth and my eyes turn fully red. I took his arm and put it near my mouth only to be stopped by Corey. "Yo Colby, wtf, Sam?". Corey said angry and confused. I don't know why but i felt angry so i speeded towards him and put him against the wall. "Colby no stop leave him alone". Sam pleaded and i let go of Corey.
"What..." Corey mumbled.
Suddenly I knew what all those story books were talking about.
They were right.
When a vampire is hungry they will drink any blood.

Any.

I looked around, and saw Circa. I bolted down to her and trapped her under me.
I went for her neck and bit down as I began to suck.

Sam's POV

I saw Colby go for Circa. I bolted to his side and stuck my wrist where his fangs were getting ready to go.
I felt his fangs sink into my wrist and I slid down the wall.
His eyes were closed and he sucked the blood from my vein.
Circa ran off, and Corey stood unsure of what do to.
Next thing I knew Devyn, Elton, and Aaron had joined him in the doorway.
I was beginning to feel weak and motioned for them to pull him off me.
They did and Colby looked around like he was dazed.
"Why would you let him do that?" Elton asked me and Aaron took Colby too his room.
"He was trying to drink from Circa, it was a last resort." I said as he helped me stand.
I washed my cut and grabbed some graham crackers.
"Oh...thanks." Elton said helping me sit.
"It's no big deal." I shrugged.
Elton sighed and walked off.

And that was how it all started...
